Is this durable in general? (not picky about loose threads or stuff like that, but will it rip or tear?)

Best Answer: Well I have been using mine for about a year now and have washed it a number of times. Understand that it is getting only "light use" since I use it about 1 time per week for lesson horses. I have an 18" saddle if that helps you any. I am using this with a larger pad underneath so this one gets wear on both sides. But it shows no signs of wear and has not faded at all. For what it is worth we have had lots of compliments on the colors (my daughter picked out the pink one).

is it good just to use as a half pad over my saddle pad/under my saddle?
joy r on Aug 7, 2014
Best Answer: I personally love using this as a saddle pad in of itself. I then put a half pad on top of it because by itself it's not enough for the horse's back. Just make sure the saddle is level.

How does one go about washing one of these pads? I want to make sure I don't ruin the one I have. Thanks!

Best Answer: I wash mine in the washing machine, gentle cycle, using small amount of detergent and the extra rinse cycle. Line dry.
