I bought this helmet 4 years ago and after much wear, have been quite pleased with it. No issues with adjusting the fit, adjusts easily. Wish it had slightly better ventilation, as it does get hotter than some helmets I've used. Only fix so far was to reglue the inside lining that came loose in the front inside of the helmet. Would buy again!

This is the greatest helmet that I've ever worn. On hot summer days, I don't even feel that I have a helmet on! In the winter it keeps my head warm! I have never fallen with this on. Awesome for anything you want to do: trail riding, showing (in English you can use a cover). I think it is a great price for how amazing it is, you get what you pay for. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Comfortable Fit was the most important issue for us. We started with English and now have swithched to Western and English helmets are so uncomfortable especially the price! (Spent over $140) This helmet is smart looking and fit the fit was so comfortable too! Even my 13 yrs wanted it!

I do NOT recommend this helmet. The design and construction of the helmet are faulty. I wore it two months and the "GPS system" broke loose - it is attached by a tiny little plastic button. Then the helmet was loose and could not be worn for safety. Am sending back to Troxel hoping for an exchange.

This helmet rocks! Had it for 4 years and is still fine! I got it on sale for 80% off thou so it was way cheaper when i got it. It would be nice if it was $15 cheaper. Besides the little bit of leather on the top I had to super glue down, this helmet is still super!

I was recently bucked off of a horse and landed on the top of my head. Aside from a mild headache, I was fine - and my helmet appeared undamaged. I firmly believe that a lower quality helmet would have resulted in injury (concussion ro worse). I replaced my Sierra with a new one just like it. These are very comfortable and easy to adjust.

I and my wife are on our second and third (respectively) Sierra's. I have great confidence in their construction safety-wise, especially since one likely saved my wife's life. That said, there are some irritating quality issues with these helmets - most notably the suspension system and padding. On my wife's most recent helmet, the GPS III "micro adjustable slides" simply fell apart within the first month. On mine, the glued on padding on the back of the GPS came off leaving a very sharp, hard plastic piece to poke you in the back of the head. In addition, the outer liner has pulled loose and bubbled up in a few places. Overall I feel confident in the safety the helmet provides, but given the price, there should be NO quality issues.

My star ratings as far as quality, price and overall would all be five stars, however, I've had my Troxel Sierra a little over a year now, have never had an accident in it, and one day I noticed the headpiece didnt fit so well. Upon closer investigation, I discovered that the plastic tabs holding it in place had sheared off somehow.

I used to have a spirit helmet by troxel and it sat on my head like a top hat and made me sweat alot. When the gps thing broke I got this helmet and I am alot more satisfied with this product! The vents make me barely sweat and it fits alot and better on less bulky...i dont really feel it on me when i am riding.

Having borrowed one from a friend and likeing it, we got this as a replacement for a failed Cheyanne (brads holding sizing bracket popped)free from Troxel. First thing we noticed is the bracket is the same thin plastic that caused the brads to pop on the Cheyanne. Also, the older model we borrowed had the thicker rubber gasket. Still, this Sierra is holding up ok 90 days in. One odd thing is how HOT ours is -- the borrowed one was much cooler. We even took out the flip-fold liner -- still swearting buckets in it. We have a Reliance for shows -- it's far cooler. So, we are beginning to wonder if we somehow got a model with vents that don't work.

I got two of these helmets, a black one for my husband and a pink one for me. The black helmet's adjustable Fit System seemed thicker and more sturdy than the pink helmet. The pink helmet's Fit System was made of thinner plastic and broke after 2 months of wear. Now the size of the helmet is too big for me and I need to find another helmet, which is frustrating.

I just recently took a bad fall off of my horse and after an MRI and chiropractic advice, I do not have a concussion, which because of the force of which I hit the ground with my head I was convinced I had. I have always had Troxel Helmets and this time, wearing this brand literally saved my life. Thank you for an excellent product that I can always trust.

I had this helmet about 3 weeks when the decorative strap above the visor came unglued. I exchanged it, but the same exact thing happened again. This time I couldn't exchange it because it wasn't within the 30 day refund policy.

I LOVE THIS HELMET! I used always ride in one of Troxel's basic schooling helmets (the Spirit, I believe) and always found it to be ill-fitting, bulky, and uncomfortable. I recently purchased the Sierra and I LOVE IT! I used to wear a Large Spirit but found that the Medium Sierra worked the best for me! The Sierra is not bulky, is very breathable, and quite honestly I don't even notice it is there. The helmet is as stylish as a helmet can be and I am no longer embarrassed to wear a helmet. Like I said, I love this helmet and WILL recommend to it to ANYONE! :)

This helmet literally saved my life. I walked away from a fall with a minor concussion but it could have been fatal if my helmet did not fit me properly, hold up to the major impact or if I didn't have one on. I am buying the exact some one to replace the one that took the brunt of the accident instead of my head. All the paramedics and ambulance drivers told me if it wasn't for this helmet I wouldn't be here to do. So thank you Troxel for an outstanding and life saving helmet.

I got this helmet no more than a year ago, and its falling apart like a 6 year old helmet. the back came off, the fabric is comming off & the inside broke. I'm really surpirsed because this is a Troxel helmet. My old helmet i go maybe 10 years ago is in better shape than this one!

In the search for a good helmet for my 12 year old son to wear for 4H, we came across this helmet. He wasn't too keen on any of the other choices out there, but this one he liked immediately. I love how it fits and adjusts super easily. The peace of mind knowing that he is protected when participating in various events with a well fitting helmet is definitely worth the price. (He likes how it looks, so I know he won't be tempted to take it off!) This one fits in well with trail and western equitation classes and for english classes, you can put a cover on it. I Don't know if all helmets have this, but this helmet adjusts so quickly, you can just use two fingers to size it in after it is on the kiddos head! No fussing around, figeting with buckles/straps. VERY NICE

This helmet is listed on the Troxel website for $119 so I was excited to get a discount on such a quality helmet. I've been using it for 2 weeks down here in the HOT humidity and it manages to keep my head pretty cool. The adjustable head band ensures a snug fit in case you're not the exact size recommendation, and the construction is solid. Customer service while ordering was wonderful. I also love the leather and suede accenting. Two Thumbs Up!

I hit a tree yesterday head on at approx 3035 MPH gallop. It busted the front visor and crack the front shell ever so slightly. I hit my head,face,chest,right arm and right leg on the tree as it caused me to do a 3 spin helicopter before hitting the ground. Thanks to this helmet I had no major head trauma or injuries. Not even a headache. The only damage was my pride! THANKS TROXEL. I will be replacing it with another one tomorrow!

I really like this riding westren helmet. I know everyone hates wearing a helmet well this one is the best and best looking to. IF you go into shows wear it you will get at least get more points, Buy it and the jacket is soo fuzzy and warm :P

Very stylish helmet that is cool and comfortable. I only wish horse.com continued to carry the standard Small, Medium, and Large sizes. The Medium/Large is too small for my husband, who also wanted one.

I got this helmet about a year ago. I ride english but love this helmet during the summer. VERY COOL during hot months. I had one problem w the helmet and sent if back to troxel, they replaced the helmet. Love this product!!!!

This helmet is comfortable and stylish and easy to fit. But more importantly, I believe this helmet saved my child from serious injury. We all heard the helmet clang against the fence. Big muddy mark squarely on the back of the helmet, but no cracks and no HEAD INJURY to my child. Please, everyone, wear a good helmet.
