Rated 5 out of 5 by LOOVEE I bought this pad originally for my 16. 2 thoroughbred, who has very high, pointy withers, and I loved it! The pad fit her great! I bought 3 more for my other horses! It is a good product for a GREAT price! Highly recommend!! January 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOMEEE this is such a great product and it works great on all of the horses at my barn. the quality is ok i guess it seems to come apart, but it is a great amount of comfort, and it looks very professional. AWESOMEEE October 15, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by worth it looks professional with baby pad. good price for outstanding product. July 6, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Super awesome! Wow! This pad is great! totally recomend it. it is about a size 17. My saddle's a 16, so its a little too big for it. I wish this pad came in sizes... The fluff is about 1.5 inches, and sstays fluffy, even after tons of rides!! Awesome price, too! it works just as well as the $200 pads! June 11, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Pad This pad i really nice better than what I was expecting anyway. Its not enough padding to use by its self but with another pad it looks really classy. Also the width wise of the pad was to much for my saddle and the straps could of been a little longer. But they do work for my 17" CC saddle. Very good quality for very cheap I'll never show in it but i holds up for every day schooling! April 29, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by worth every penny this pad is awesome. my only request it that the bilet straPS WERE ALITTLE LONGER. but other than that very nice pad and it comforts my horses backs June 4, 2010

I wanted a second half pad to have one for showing and one for schooling and I wasn't looking for something too expensive: just something that looked nice and was nice quality. This half pad is wonderful and I am extremely happy with it! :)

Semi-New to English: Do you need another pad to sit over the top o f this half pad?
A shopper on Aug 18, 2015
Best Answer: This is used directly under the saddle, (be careful you pick the correct size, as half pads come in different sizes to fit the different sized saddles). I recommend you use an all purpose saddle pad and then the half pad on top and then your saddle. Half pads are great because they can help fit a saddle that's possibly too wide to the horse much better so they don't get irritated. They give horse's backs more comfort and allow to fill in any areas that lay uneven on the horses back as well. I would make sure your saddle fits though and don't rely on a half pad to help fit your saddle better to your horse but half pads really can't hurt! Sorry this may be a lot more info than you wanted but I hope it helps! Goodluck.

Will this work well with a 16.5" saddle?
Kirstin D on Dec 17, 2014
Best Answer: I bought one for a 17.5" saddle, and it is terrific. Seems more about the horse's withers and the way the saddle fits him than the size of the seat, but I would THINK this pad would be great for your scenario. Easy to layer with other pads, and quick macine wash & dry, so for under $20 I would say give it a try!

I have an 18" AP saddle and I was wondering if it would fit? Because I don't want to buy it and it doesn't fit
A shopper on Oct 8, 2015
Best Answer: I wouldn't buy it for a saddle that big. I have a 17.5 and it was too small for mine. My daughter rides in a 16 and it fit nice for her. I bought 2, one for myself and one for her and mine was too small so now she has a lesson half-pad and a show half-pad. Nice for the price but a little small for what you need.

Would this half pad fit an 18" close contact saddle?
Samantha on Jul 26, 2014
Best Answer: might be cutting it close, because we are using it on a 16 inch saddle, but I can tell you that is has made a huge difference in helping the saddle we do have fit appropriately to our horse.

Is this fleece on this pad as yellow as it is in the pictures?
Samantha on Jul 26, 2014
Best Answer: Yes, it is...but nice, thick and washes well.
I like it so much, thinking about getting another for my other horse.

would this fit an 18" if so how good?
A shopper on Oct 7, 2015
Best Answer: I have a Wintec 17 1/2" that I use this with and it fits nicely. I think it would fit an 18 also without too much problem.
