great boot, 2/4/2013

Sissi Vining from Baton Rouge, LA

While I can not comment on the warmth of this boot due to very mild winter temps down here in the south, I find the boot, extremely nice. I normally wear between a size 8 and a size 9, depending on the boot. The size 9 fits great with room for thicker socks. My zippers are easy to pull up or down with no problems. The medium calf size fits snug but not tight. The feel great in the saddle, but not for extensive walking, which is obviously not the purpose. My 12 year old daughter wears the same size I do, except the narrow shaft. Her boots fit great as well and are not too tall. We have worn them leaving on a ride in the 50 degrees and ending in the 70's and they felt comfortable from beginning to end. The foot is waterproof and the boots are easy to clean. Absolutely love them!

Great boots for the money!, 1/14/2013

Jerri in Arkansas from Mena, AR

I never had proper winter riding boots so my feet always got damp and cold. This keep your feet warm and toasty but I gave them four stars overall because had I NOT read the reviews, I would have ordered incorrectly. Also the zipper IS difficult. I have thicker but not really wide calves and ordered wide as well as up a size... PERFECT FIT! Super comfortable to ride in!

Too small, 12/12/2012

Cathy from Killingworth, CT

Seems a great boot but they run small. I usually take 7.5 but ordered 8 and that is still snug at toe with a regular sock - no way could I wear thick winter sock with these. Back they go unfortunately.

Wide Calf my Eye! Buyer Beware!, 12/1/2012

Buckyhorse from Erda, Utah

I was so excited to get these boots! My calves (with socks and breeches) are 16" (L) and 16 1/8" (R), so I ordered the 9 Wide boot which the size chart says is 16 1/2" thinking I would have plenty of room. Even without tall socks or breeches on I can barely get the Left one up and the right zipper won't budge at all. So I can just forget trying to put socks or breeches under them. I am so disappointed! Now I have to pay to return them...and go without boots until I get them exchanged for the DAFNA'S. Just great!

Amazing!, 2/14/2012

Lexie from upstate,New York

Amazing boots! I love them! I got them for christmas and i will forever buy these over and over again when they wear out! I have cold winters here and lots of riding/barn chores to do. We don't own an indoor only arena...so my feet always get cold. BUT NOT ANYMORE! I was a mess when my feet would get cold. I love these boots because they stand up to the coldest weather and my feet are always warm! I totally recommend! Will be buying more soon!!

Great Boots, 2/4/2012

Kayla from Fenton, MI

I got these boots for christmas and I love them. They always keep my feet warm and dry. The calf is a bit large for me (I have very slim legs) but nothing drastic. The only reason for giving them four stars in quality is because the zipper can be a bit difficult at times. Bottom Line: I would buy these again.

Not for the Wide of Calf, 1/27/2012

Lauren Sargent from Saline, MI

I bought these in a wide for my daughter who has a wide calf. The right boot fit, barely, but the left wouldn't even begin to zip. Fortunately we have the same size foot and these boots fit me. I do not have a wide calf and they are none too loose in the calf for me. They are toasty and generally comfy, though a bit stiff in the ankle at first-hoping they will soften up some.

Affordable and durable, 1/26/2012

Kate from Houghton, MI

I work in weather ranging from -10 to 40 degrees all winter long, and I wear these boots 6 days a week. I've even started to wear them instead of my snow boots because they come up higher. Keep in mind that they are NOT breathable (I've yet to find a winter riding boot that is) and so you can't wear cotton socks without getting sweaty feet. Love these boots, and recommend them to my clients all the time.

Ok Boots, but not the best, 12/18/2011

Maria from Lexington, KY

I ordered these over the summer and when I finally got them I didn't like them at all. I have really big calves so I ordered the wide, and I couldn't even get them zipped. They're perfect if you have a slimmer calf, but if you have a wide calf then I recommend Saxon

Warm and Toasty, 11/14/2011

Nancy from allamuchy, NJ

I'm going into my second winter with these and they keep my feet nice and warm. I ride in around 25-30 degree weather. Very waterproof and easy to hose the mudd off. Comfortable also. I hope to get many more seaons out of them.

Against the Odds, 1/26/2011

Deb from Frederick, Maryland

The boots are perfect. I am 5'1 and they do not pinch behind the knee. They are very warm and fit like a custom order. I usually wear a 7.5 shoe. These boots are a 7 and fit snug but comfortable. They slip a bit behind as I walk (as all tall boots seem to do). I am able to put my spurs on and ride comfortably. I ordered them thinking I would be making a return because I am pretty fussy, but they are a winner!

In LOVE with these boots!, 1/14/2011

HTaylor from Coatesville, PA

These boots are PERFECT! They are comfortable and look great. I purchased these boots after shopping "winter" tall boots from other brands such as Ariat. I found that the others just didn't provide the kind of thermal protection I was looking for. TuffRider got it right for a fraction of the price. These boots will keep you warm for hours with just a light pair of socks. They have proven to be waterproof with the snow and comfortable to ride in. I also noticed improved traction on icy patches due to the tred. What else can I say? I love these boots.

Great Winter Riding Boots! , 11/16/2010

Morninstarz from Idaho

I absolutely love these boots. I wear them 24/7. They are fantastic for winter and nasty spring conditions. They fit nicely in my english irons or my western stirrups. I have even worn my boots in the river while fishing and my feet remained totally dry!
