my wife is size 14. What size is that on this chart?
A shopper on Nov 3, 2014
Best Answer: Probably a 36L, I'm a size 12 and take a 34L . These are great schooling breeches! Have them in black, wash them all the time and line dry, have held up very well for over a year and a half.

The sizing chart that pops up for Item# E002367, says the "regular" length has a 27" inseam but the "Product Summary" says it has a 26" inseam. Which is correct?
Steve M on Jun 11, 2015
Best Answer: The size chart/product summary both list:
Sizes: 26 - 34 Regular (27” inseam), 26 - 34 Long (28.5" inseam)

Is there Velcro or elastic at the ankles?
A shopper on Jul 19, 2015
Best Answer: I think this pair has a combination of velcro and elastic. I order 2 pairs and one had just elastic and the other a combination.

Would this be too harsh on the horse to ride bareback because of the grip?
A shopper on Jun 30, 2015
Best Answer: Hi there. I've never ridden my horse bareback in these breeches, but I wouldn't think it would be too harsh. The fabric on the seat is surprisingly soft. When I received them I didn't think they'd have ENOUGH grip on my saddle, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they gave me the right amount of stability without feeling "grippy." I'm not sure if that helps or not... but I've been pretty happy with my pair.

Happy riding!
Naomi

difference between R and L sizes?
A shopper on Dec 11, 2014
Best Answer: a few inches in length. I'm 5'4" I like L b/c the end of the breech ends up at my ankle. I dislike any breech that ends mid calf or just a little lower than that. Esp if I wear my riding boots w/ these breeches. Also is great to have L if you wear half chaps & reg boots.

if i wore a 28 in jeans would i get a 28 in the riding pants?
Ron H on Dec 22, 2014
Best Answer: I went up a size (ended up happy with a 30) to get a comfortable fit, even though I usually am a 27 or 28 in jeans (women's size, Banana Republic, for reference) - the breeches do stretch out a bit after wearing, but in the winter I usually wear thermal tights underneath, so the extra room was good for me. If you want them snug and/or don't plan to ever wear anything under them, then the 28 might be fine for you....
