I've had a few fly sheets in the past and either they were too thick and didn't have enough breathability for the heat that comes with fly season and they sweat through it, or they're so thin that they rip right through. I haven't had either of those problems with this fly sheet, my older gelding seems to like it, and before I began putting it on him his dark black coat had sunbleached out to a faded bay, but after using it for a few weeks, he's back to beautiful dark glossy black, even on his legs, his coat looks great, it keeps him clean, and since there's an extra layer of protection, he hasn't come in from the field with any cuts or scrapes, or bites from his herd mates. The flies stay away, the repellent built into the material hasn't worn off yet, and he hasn't managed to rip it or pull it off. Once the belly cover is properly adjusted it fits well and helps keep the flies off the sensitive area. The only fit issue I've noticed is that it seems to slide back on his neck farther than I'd like, but other than that the fit is great. The spotty pattern is so cute, and comes with a free fly mask! Would definitely buy again!

Sheet does not stay in position, bought it for the bellyband my mare is bothered by flys and nats. Belly band hung to low to do any good. the first night one of the belly band hooks tore off of the sheet fabric. The 4th day the leg straps were torn off. Not worth the price. I have always been happy with weatherbeater products but not this one.

This sheet has held up well to 3 months of use, washes well, and stays in place without too much shifting, but has rubbed both horses I have tried it on (totally different body types), either at the base of the withers and along the spine, or at the sides or points of the shoulders. The horse whose withers it rubbed ended up with a swollen rubbed spot that took a couple of weeks to heal, even though the sheet fit properly (the sheet was not sagging behind his withers, so I'm not sure why it rubbed there).
I would not buy another of these.

The color of this flysheet is VERY vivid and bright. If my mare doesn't manage to wiggle out of this, her herdmates will surely rip it off.
Quality is good - we'll see how long it lasts!
