Rated 5 out of 5 by He keeps at it, but no colic! My favorite lesson horse (that i'm soon buying) cribs like a fiend, it's sad really, and he'll crib all day with this, but he doesn't colic, which is insanely important, because he colics almost immediately, he can make the noise, and do the motion, but he cant get any air, which is good. it has given him several abrasions though, but that's because his owner left the collar dirty and him sweaty and set him outside for three weeks and nobody rode him (it was nasty, poor boy) but bottom line, keeps them from colicing, but won't save a fence. 1 pet approval because he hates it. Rated 5 out of 5 by No Problems! My horse was not a terrible cribber, but she did indeed colic with her previous owner! I got this ribbing collar, and it works wonders for her! Although, the cribbing collar was giving her sores, so I got the fleece covers! Most people say that they don't help, but if you put them on right, they get rid of the sores. The only problem with the fleece covers is that they get dirty quickly, but they are machine washable! :) June 4, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by HORRIBLE! Bought this for my TB mare. She wore it and it started leaving marks. The fleece they sell to cover doesn't cover the spot under the neck so of course it rubbed her neck. It ended up rubbing her neck raw and fur came off. Her skin actually was stuck to the collar. I tried loosening but that didnt work. I do not reccomend this to anyone! April 5, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good I have a mare that used to crib all the time, but with the collar, she never tries to crib. It did leave really bad sores for a while but the fleece covers fixed that problem! Great product that does it's job fantastically! March 25, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works well but might cause sores Keeps my horse from colicing from sucking in too much air. Works effectively and immediately, but does cause some sores. The fleece covers you can buy separately do not cover the spots that have the sores. Don't really know what to do. January 25, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not the best. I got this cribbing collar for my 6 year old gelding, and it worked pretty good for the first 2 weeks (on hole number 5-7 can't remember) And then I had to tighten it to hole number 9 which scared me way too bad. It just look way too tight and inhumane. Plus it was rubbing his browband area. So I returned it and instead bought a Rusty Dare Cribbing Collar. I am WAY happier with it. It totally stopped him from cribbing 100% If you want to keep your horse from cribbing, get a Rusty Dare Cribbing Collar, not this one. November 2, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't waste your money I own a paint horse that cribs. It's not a severe case, but it's not very mild either. His old owner let him crib, so some of his teeth have worn down. So I bought this. It worked pretty good for the first 2 weeks. Then I had to tighten it. A LOT. I eventually had to tighten it so much it scared me. SO I returned it. Don't buy this thing. I got a Rusty Dare Cribbing Collar instead, and it's amazing. My horse will try (not often at all) but he can't crib!! October 5, 2011
