We have a large Quarter Horse that is perfect in every way except he cribs like a fiend! We are getting worried about him - this collar got great reviews everywhere we checked. It was very expensive in our local TSC, so on-line I went!

this halter is supposed to be the best. seen one last week on a high dollar horse at a sale. the owner was not ashamed to have it on his horse. said it works. my wife paid 8k for our fence, she dont want a horse bitting on it.

Hoped to reduce our mare's cribbing. Didn't make much difference. Caused a few rub spots, tried the fleece covers but they were not very durable (see my review of that item). After a few months, the metal fasteners on the cross-piece gave out, so we quit using it (it wasn't helping much anyway). Also - the large size is very large. The mare is a Belgian/QH cross and wears an XL fly mask. The collar fit her, but on the second to smallest buckle hole, leaving 6" of strap dangling.

how to measure?

Best Answer: I have a thoroughbred and followed the sizing chart and bought a medium. He is about 1125 lbs with the narrow typical thoroughbred head. Plenty of room on the leather straps.
