Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Cinch I have had this cinch for a year. My horse usually used an eglish saddle and girth but we use the western saddle for trail rides. I like the cinch because the neoprene part just peels off allowing you to hose down the girth. Any sweat and hair come right off. October 22, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth every penny!! I LOVE this cinch! The quality of the material is top notch, it's super soft, and the roller buckle makes tightening up the leathers SO EASY! It just glides right up, no hassle at all! I am never using another cinch! July 1, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Won't use any other cinch! Once you use this cinch, you will NEVER USE ANOTHER. I have 2 of them, one for each saddle, and my very first one I bought still works perfectly and I've had it for over 4 years. I'm buying another for my new saddle! This is HANDS DOWN the best cinch, and it's a GREAT PRICE. I'm small and a teenager and I can tighten the girth on my fat pony very easily thanks to this girth. If you don't have one of these, buy one. Now May 15, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Very easy and durable After trying and testing a number of different cinches when I bought my first western saddle, I finally purchased this one. Definitely very easy to use and cinches up nicely, very easy to feed through. Cinch also has a very nice width to it and is nicely cushioned. December 31, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Cinch! I got this cinch with my Thoroughbred gelding, it works so well! I love the double roller and the pocket for the extra strap on the other side. He loves it and it absorbs all his sweat and get's it off of him really well, sometimes after a long ride I have to wring it out though lol. Hair sticks to it a lot, but you can get it all off with a curry comb and smack out the dust and it's good as new! :) October 22, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful! I bought one of these a few years ago when I bought my new saddle. I ended up getting another saddle for another horse and had a diff. cinch on. Could not figure out why my mare kept wanting to bite me until I looked at the cinch and noticed the D ring was touching her skin because it was not wide enough, causing the cinch itself to go through the D ring and pinch her. I ordered another one and now am ordering one for my boyfriends horse as well. GREAT product. I have had the first one for 3 yrs. and is still in mint condition. Cinching is a breeze and my horses love the comfort. This will be the only cinch I will own!! September 16, 2011

I like the double buckle. It's easier to cinch up.

I'm hoping the smart cinch will aid in the grandchildren learning to tighten the cinch on their own since this large pony is a little round in the girth.

Just time for a new neoprene and thought I would try this brand. Liked the equalibrium roller buckle.

Love the easy care of neoprene and like the smart cinch buckle.

Does this cinch have felt on the underside next to the horse? I bought a smart cinch several years ago that has felt on the edges and underside and now the felt is hard and causing sores on my horse. Somebody suggested the neoprene, but didn't know if this is just neoprene. It looks a lot like the one I already have. Thanks for any info.

Best Answer: They come both ways, I believe; I have the ones without felt. But this girth rubbed my young horse between the girth and right front leg, and so I discontinued use. My older (and larger) horse has this girth, and he does fine in his--plus it has held up well. So, I think it's a nice, easy to clean girth, but it also depends on the horse. I went back to mohair for my younger, smaller horse.

how do you determine size?
A shopper on Oct 26, 2014
Best Answer: To measure your horse for the correct size, place your saddle on the horse while he's standing on level ground. Tie a piece of string or baling twine to one rigging ring, loop it under the horse's girth, and bring it up to the other ring. Measure that length and subtract 16 inches (round up to the nearest cinch size) and you'll have a good estimate of your horse's correct cinch size.

How wide is cinch?
Brenda H on Sep 11, 2014
Best Answer: The cinch is 5 inches wide - and it works great with my textan roper. It really holds the saddle in place securely with no chafing.
