Rated 5 out of 5 by One smart Cinch! I purchased one about almost ten years ago now. When I started to do more trail riding I had everyone asking me about it. Nowadays all my friends I ride with have one too. It really makes it easier to cinch up and go without pulling on saddle atop your horse. As always, I am always bragging about the Smart Cinch, the smart choice. It can come with roper style as well as the old fashioned Mohair cinches too. Happy Trails! May 21, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great cinch for cinchy horse I really like this cinch. It is very good quality, with thick materials and heavy-duty buckles. The rollers really make it much easier to cinch up, especially for the ladies out there! My horse can get a little cinchy but doesn't seem to mind this one, probably because I can cinch it up so much faster and without yanking and jerking for several minutes. Stateline has the best price too...can't beat that! February 7, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Mine Didn't Have Leather Piece I have an older model of this girth that has done great, so I re-ordered but the one that I just received did not come with the chestnut skirting leather off-billet that is pictured. It just came with a nylon one. Disappointing... January 19, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by smart cinch I LOVE this cinch and my horses dont mind it as far as I can tell. They seem fine with it, im purchasing another for my other horse. January 10, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Horrible cinch! For my horse, a quarter horse who is a semiqh in saddle, this product was horrible. It always pinched her and made her very very angry every time I tried to cinch her up. She began biting and pinning her ears back as soon as i placed the saddle on her. I got the saddle checked out and it was okay. The guy said cinches like this, irritate some horses since it pulls the hair. I dont recommend this at all. March 22, 2009

Trying felt over synthetics to be sure we don't get sores or rubs.

I was looking for a comfortable cinch that didn't slip and was easy to clean. So far, all that is true. Well made and sturdy.

Does it help stop saddle slipping? I have a rope cinch and my saddle slides back all the time, Im waiting for my new pad to come in so hopefully that helps too, But would this cinch help stop saddle slippage too? Thanks

Best Answer: I have always used this cinch and never have problems with saddle slippage. I live in the rocky mtns and go up and down mtns on a constant basis. I would also try using a Brest plate. That would definitely keep the saddle from slipping back.

I hope this helps.
