The reviews on this were mostly positive, so I decided to give this hackamore a try on my gelding.

I want to try this on my daughter's pony. I think the noseband will be too big but since it is removable I will easily be able to modify it to fit without completely wrecking it. I already have a similar bit with a rope nose for my big horses so if I can't make it work for the pony I will use it on one of them.

Love Love this! my horse loves this as well. not as harsh as the rope version. holds up very well and easy to maintain. I love this one so much I keep it hanging on the clothes hook in my truck, so it always handy. Highly recommend this one.

I bought this little S hackamore to quickly throw on my horse and go trail riding and for other casual days of riding and just to give him a break from wearing a bit all the time. Plus the price was really good.

how severe is this hackmore?
veronica t on Mar 24, 2015
Best Answer: Like any bit or hackamore, the riders' hands play a huge parb. I have raised/trained my gelding in one and am bringing on a second horse in one too. I keep the chain loose so there is no contact unless needed and most of the time the whole hack just sits there like a halter. I've never had running away issues.

how wide is this at the shortest adjustment?
A shopper on Feb 23, 2015
Best Answer: I don't have it with me to give you an answer in inches. But I use mine on a Morgan Mare with a very small head. It is on the smallest adjustment too. Hope that helps, again, Mine is at barn in the tack room.
