Needed a mild bit for one of my horses, he seems to like it much better than his old snaffle.

What is the mouth piece made out of? On other websites it states it's sweet iron but in the comments below people are saying it's not.
Ashely W on Jan 17, 2014
Best Answer: I have two of these bits. I ride one on an arab and one on a quarter horse and they both are very comfortable with them. My bits have a stainless steel mouth not a sweet iron.

Do these bits run wide? I know it says 5", but some brands run wider. I could use the extra room.
M N on Dec 16, 2015
Best Answer: Hello. I purchased this bit and it seemed standard to me. (5") I loved this bit when I first bought it. Unfortunatly it wore out fast and the shanks rusted and no longer turn appropriatly.
