Why did you choose this?

I have had a hackamore of this type in my stash for decades. Works great on all ponies and horse. The arms tend to rust so you need a new one every so often in the NW.

Cause i needed a hackamore and this one looked the most comfortable
Brianna D on May 19, 2015
I choose this to use in tail rides, so my horse can be more confortable.
Jorge R on Jun 4, 2015
because of the fleece lining and leather. I want my horse to be comfortable.

I have an opinionated horse who is mildly barn sour, is this good for communicating with a squirrelly horse? He goes fine in a jim warner hackamore but I want something a little softer.
IrishHorse on Feb 12, 2015
Best Answer: Hi Candra,
I have used bit less and moved to the padded hackamore. I think this would be a great transitional choice as the control is still there.
Enjoy...

can this hackamore onto an english bridle?
Madi Y on Jun 25, 2014
Best Answer: Yes. I use one for a show bridle and one on a endurance bridle. You can also stain it if the color is too light.

Trying to decide if this will fit my headstall. How wide is the hole for the cheekpiece straps?
Rachel P on Dec 29, 2013
Best Answer: Both my daughter and niece ride with this hack and my niece has the snap headstall and my daughter has a regular leather headstall. I would have to say the opening is at least 1 inch wide. Hope this helps.. they both love it.

how well is this hackamore for communicating with a horse that hasn't been ridden in ten years and needs something strong to keep her in control?
lightening15 on Aug 3, 2015
Best Answer: I love this Hackamore for my Gelding. But I have always ridden him in a Hackamore. I am not sure if I would call it Strong, or that it is an appropriate Hackamore for a hard to handle horse. But For my horse, its a perfect fit..Sorry I couldn't be more helpful
