I plan on riding my gelding after taking a very long break.... if he isn't happy with coming out of his retirement spell, I wont be happy with it, I hope this bit keeps him happy so I will be!
Rhonda C on Jan 15, 2015
One review stated the bit is "painted." Is this true or is it solid? Also, does it come in 6"? Do you have any sweet iron/copper inlay bits available in 6" sizes?
A shopper on Mar 26, 2015
Best Answer: This bit is made from stainless steel and sweet iron, available only in 5". Check out Item# E013181.

Is this a good starting bit? i will need to start my foal soon and was wondering if this is a good bit to use for that?
Tiana P. on Dec 25, 2015
Best Answer: I personally like the D-Ring Snaffle Bit. I like the d-ring snaffle with copper inlay or copper roller. In my opinion a d-ring snaffle will help you tremendously with flexing and lateral movement!! The copper inlay or rollers will help to keep the horses mouth moist which is more comfortable for the horse. I have had success in starting young horses with this bit. But really try to start them in a bosal or hackamore for the 1st week or so then introduce them to the bit.

What is the diameter of the mouthpiece on this bit?
A shopper on Apr 30, 2015
Best Answer: I am not sure, I ordered it over a year ago. It is smaller in diameter than my full cheek snaffle bit. I have a 14 hand mustang and he loves it. I have recently purchased a small paint 14 hands and was thinking of ordering one for her. Hope this helps.
