Rated 5 out of 5 by Love these reins I just love these reins, I have had a pair of these for over 10 years they wear great and it is so nice to have the extra length for draping the reins over your horses neck, leading the horse and the occasional encouragement. February 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Reins! I bought a pair of these from my sister and I LOVE them! Very comfortable grip, don't get dirty easily, and they are excellent for us on a budget (I only paid $10) These reins are very long though, and if you have a horse you have to keep a short rein on (or a really short horse) the leather poppers may end up dragging on the ground. These are by far my favorite reins in the barn right now. Excellent grip, very hard to pull them through your hands if you have a horse that likes to pull. August 18, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Like 'em I always wanted a pair of split reins and I got these. I love them! They are very comfortable. I like trail riding with them. January 20, 2012

can't tell the colors very well. is burgundy a deep color or bright?
I want the black and tan but more money? so what would be closer color?
Mary S on Apr 3, 2014
Best Answer: It is a deep color, I have several, at least 1 in every color and several black and tan and the green and tan. The split reins are nice and long and they don't fade. When my grandsons get them muddy I stick them in a net or pillowcase ant throw it in the washer. What I love is that they will fit any horse because of the nylon you can adjust it to what ever you want! You won't be sorry even if you have to pay full price for the black and tan.

How long is each rein?
A shopper on Nov 19, 2015
Best Answer: I would say they are about 6-7' - I would have to measure them to be exact and they are out at my barn 1/2 an hour from where I live.

Western Vaquero Headstall Black/Tan
Western Vaquero Headstall Black/Tan
Best Answer: I have the Western Vaquero black/tan headstall. The Fabtron leather looks shiny and very black so it wouldn't go perfectly because the Vaquero is more of a subtle or muted black, not really dark black, and also it is fabric instead of leather. I know this isn't a very good answer, but I think it would depend on how exact of a match you are looking for. If you only wanted to go with black for a blended look it ought to be fine.
