VERY comfortable reins. A few friends have tried them out and ended up ordering their own pair. I use the buckle to have one long rein but nice feature you can use them split as well. Would be fun if they came in different colors but at least they offer black or brown. Highly recommend!

One thing they don't mention in the description is these are split reins, but they buckle together. They are kinda long, but I like them. The grips are incredible soft, and i haven't gotten any callouses or blisters yet from my pushy mare. They are pricey, but worth it.

These reins are great for cool light work, though if you're like me and there is a chance that your reins may become wet (be it rain, snow, sweat, or swimming) you will have no grip on them what so ever. Also the grippy part comes off very easily, mice seem to be specially attracted to them.

These cushion grip reins are great for someone who rides all the time. If you have a hard time gripping hard thin reins these are much easier to grip. Cleaning is easy dunk in a bucket and wipe off. They do not get stiff in the winter they are great for the serious rider who has to clean his own tack!

I love these reins. The cushion grip is very comfortable and spongy. They are great for horses who have hard mouths or tug at the reins, because the reins never hurt your hands, and I never have to ride with gloves. (The only reason I do is too match my eventing colors) They have held up perfectly over the past 4 years, and still look brand new, and I ride with them multiple times a week. The only downfall with them is that when you clean them with soap and water, the spongy material inside them soaks up the soap, so that can be a little hard to rinse out, but I can always get most of it out, and it doesn't hurt the quality of the reins at all. You should definitely buy these reins!

Very durable and comfortable reins. They go very nicely with my Wintec bridle and saddle. No problems here!

I like the idea of the grippy reins but mine were uncomfortable and stiff. they didn't flex in my hands and if i didnt wear gloves my hands would blister. But only on long trail rides.

i love these reins for jumping, plus also if your horse was to pull the reins out of your hands it does not hurt your hands like the braided reins do.

I like these reins a lot. The cushion grip is very comfortable, and I never need gloves with these reins. They are a little long for my large pony, I wish they came in a Cob size. But I am able to adjust the length of my reins from long, relaxed trail length to short jumping length all while still holding the cushioned part. They are also maintenancefree and easy to clean.

Likes: The cushioned feeling! The width & thickness.
Dislikes: The middle buckleI ride with my reins held in the middle of the palm of ONE hand, which happens to be the middle where the buckle is: Very uncomfortable!
The cushioned piece needs to extend all the way to the bit snap. Instead, a 12inch flat, NONcushioned piece is spliced between the snap and where the rider usually gribs the reins. Why If a rider reaches down and shortens the reins, they reach beyond the cushion and grab a handful of splice. Way uncool.
Summary: The waffled cushion idea for reins is WONDERFUL. Wintec just needs to improve the product by offering a onepiece totally cushioned length of rein at least 8 ft to riders who ride in their western Wintec endurance saddles. And...no splices!
