This lasts longer than sprays, and I like to rub it on belly and face when the flies are the most obnoxious.

what does this smell like? 30 plus years ago we used one that really worked and I remember it smelled like lime, was wondering if this was it.

Best Answer: I've been using this product since 1970 and it still smells the same. I think the smell is citronella, when is kind of citrus-y smelling, so maybe the lime-like smell you remember. It works very well and lasts all day, but is a bit oily and attracts dust. I use it when out on long trail rides in areas with horseflies, ticks or lots of flies.
