Would I get a medium or a large for my horse who is 16.0 hands? His legs are not very big, I was more wondering height wise.

Does this boot have a matching hind leg pair?
A shopper on Apr 6, 2015
Best Answer: Most people I know who own this boot including me just buy 2 sets and use one for the front and one for the back. I dont think there is a special "hind leg pair" but you can use them for the hind legs. I would reccomend ordering the size you need for the front first and then trying them on the hind legs, in order to make sure they fit both the front and the back legs. My horse wears a medium on the front but a large on the back :)

I am looking for something like this, but safe to turn out in pasture for?
A shopper on Oct 23, 2014
Best Answer: Yes. The double Velcro keeps them on and they wear well, unless
your horse likes to bite them!

Are these front or hind boots?
JanieB on Jul 24, 2014
Best Answer: They are either depending on your horse's size. We have some that wear the mediums up front and the large, behind.
