Happy Retirement for the Ex-Racehorse

Back on Track is a documentary in the production stages that will feature life after the track for racehorses, including interviews with people who are dedicating their lives to rescuing and rehabilitating thoroughbreds all over the world.

Consider Queen Satin, a Thoroughbred mare with 18 starts in her racing career and then was disposed of, left emaciated and terrified of humans. Thankfully, she was rescued at auction and found a soft landing as well as a new future. At the end of her first year of competing, the renamed Satin’s Angel ranked third out of all jumpers in the Thoroughbred Incentive Program in the U.S. and Canada.
