How to Find the Best Place to Board Your Horse

Before visiting any prospective facilities, make a list of everything you want in a boarding barn. Put the most important aspects on the top, and keep in mind that a few compromises may need to be made. For instance, consider the weather where you live. If there are harsh winters or consistent rain, an indoor facility might be imperative. Be sure to consider your horse’s needs as well. If your horse is sociable or needs a lot of space in general, look at the pastures and stalls, as well as the turnout schedule.
