HOW DOES THE PRESCRIPTION ORDERING PROCESS WORK?
State Line Tack has partnered with Pet’s Choice Pharmacy to provide access to Prescription Food and Pet Medications. These are dispensed and shipped to you once your veterinarian provides a valid prescription to Pet’s Choice’s licensed pharmacists. Placing an order is simple, requiring only enough information for Pet’s Choice to verify your pet’s prescription with your veterinarian.
Just log onto StateLineTack.com, and add the necessary items to your cart, along with your veterinarian and pet information, plus any other items you’d like to purchase. Once the order is placed, Pet’s Choice Pharmacy will contact your vet directly using the information you provided to obtain the valid prescription from them.
Note: your veterinarian must have a current relationship with you and your pet and believe the requested medication is appropriate for your pet for them to approve a prescription.
Once the prescription is sent to Pet’s Choice Pharmacy, their pharmacists will fill and ship out your pet medications within one business day.
If your veterinarian has approved the prescription for refills, Pet’s Choice Pharmacy will ship your product the next time you place an order.

WHAT DOES THE RX SYMBOL MEAN?
Any item featuring the Rx symbol - a truck with the Rx inside - is an item that requires a valid prescription from your veterinarian. Before these can ship, Pet’s Choice Pharmacy must verify your pet’s prescription information with your veterinarian. All the necessary information will be requested once you add the item to your cart.

CAN MY PRESCRIPTION BE EMAILED OR FAXED?
Pet’s Choice Pharmacy is not allowed to accept digital copies of prescriptions from customers due to United States Pharmacy regulations; they accept only faxes sent directly from your veterinarian to Pet’s Choice Pharmacy. They will contact your veterinarian directly to obtain your prescription information as quickly and safely as possible.
Pharmacy regulations will allow you to send in a hard copy of the prescription signed by your veterinarian through physical mail; however, it is typically much quicker and easier if the pharmacy obtains the prescription information directly. To mail your prescription information, please send to:

CAN I CANCEL OR MODIFY AN ORDER?
Due to pharmacy regulations, Pet’s Choice cannot accept returns for prescription items once the shipment has left the pharmacy, however if you have an issue with your medication order, Pet’s Choice Pharmacy will be happy to assist you. If you wish to cancel an order that has not been approved yet by your veterinarian, you can do that by giving us a call.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PRESCRIPTION IS DENIED?
If your veterinarian denies your prescription request, Pet’s Choice Pharmacy will relay the information your vet provided as to why it was denied. This may be because your vet needs to see your pet before authorizing the prescription. In some cases, the prescription medication may not be appropriate for your pet and the best thing for your pet is to bring them in to the clinic. We will never charge your credit card if your pet’s prescription cannot be fulfilled.

WHEN WILL MY MEDICATIONS ARRIVE?
For new orders, the pharmacists at Pet’s Choice Pharmacy must obtain approval for the prescription from your veterinarian, and this process is dependent on how fast your veterinarian responds to Pet’s Choice Pharmacy. Generally, this takes more than a day, as your vet is busy caring for many pets. You are welcome to contact your veterinarian directly to determine the timeline for approval, but Pet’s Choice pharmacists do their best to contact your vet as quickly as possible. Once received, Pet’s Choice Pharmacy will fulfill your medication order as quickly as possible.
For authorized refills, Pet’s Choice Pharmacy will ship those medications out as soon as possible.
When ordering over the weekend, orders will be processed on Monday, except for holidays.
