Wanted to try on my 29 yr old gelding, who has stifle joint problems. Don't like using the other pain meds all the time. I know they are hard on the stomach.

My elder statesman (coming 32 in March) has used this for years to stay comfortable. It doesn't upset his stomach or have the other side effects of bute and one dose every morning during the winter keeps him happy and moving like he did when he was in the dressage court.

Excellent alternative to drugs that upset the gut and can lead to hind gut, i.e. colic problems. Horses like this product and eat it well.

BEST ANSWER: I would consult a vet
How do you administer it?
Jenni on Jul 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We give it in her grain evening for 3 nights. Measured as shown on the bottle. She walks better for a while. When she started limping and repeat doses for 3 evening.
What is the shelf life of this product (by the gallon)?
Deborah S on Dec 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: well if you administer one ounce per day to your horse, then you will have a 4 month supply. I transfer a month supply out of the gallon into a quart dispenser and store the remaining product in its gallon container in a cool dry place. You could even place it in a refrigerator. Check with manufacture for proper storage past 3 months. Should have expiration date on container.
