These are honestly the best clippers you can buy! All the big trainers use them because they work better than anything else. I have a horse with Cushingâ??s disease (with very hard Hair to clip) and these seem to be the only things to clip him nicely!

First time clipper...
I bought this model of clipper since my trainer had the same (and had clipped my horse twice before with them); and I am very pleased with how my horse looks and how easy they were to use for a first timer! They are very quiet and lite to handle. Looking forward to our next clip with hopes that I will improve my skills!

Runs quiet stayed cool longer than oster
So far I have clipped 2 mini horses and 2 dogs. The mini horses usually put up a little fight but stayed quiet for these clippers. Very quiet and smooth running. The dogs who have never been clipped before were very good! It came with a free cordless mini clipper. I did buy the blade wash and an extra blade. I already had the cool lube. So far I really like this clipper.

Good for body clipping, but not a lot of it.
This clipper is great because it is lightweight, quiet, and has two speeds. The wide blade makes body clipping a lot easier. Be sure to clean out between the blades regularly, as hair can get gummed up pretty quickly. (Use a screwdriver to take one blade off for ease of cleaning.) I wouldn't recommend if you're planning to body clip more than a few horses, as the blades dull rather quickly likely due to a smaller motor, but is great for partial clips. Highly recommend purchasing an additional set of blades to use while the others are being sharpened.

Love these clippers
I took my daughter to a clinic to learn how to clip horses. These were one of the many clippers available to try. With the wider blade, takes less strokes, making a cleaner clip. These are the quietest clippers I have ever heard, great for our 4 year old who was never clipped before. She stood well (as good as a baby does not understanding crossties) and the clip looks amazing!

Unbeatable!
As a professional groom, I clip hundreds of horses. These clippers are so reliable and they always make a clean finish. StateLines price is unbeatable. I even got a free pair of cordless clippers with my purchase. I have to purchase these often so I'm happy to see them so affordable!

Quality body clipper
I purchased these based on the good reviews based on body clipping. I burnt t/ my Osters about 2 years ago & in the meantime have been paying too much for the stable hand to clip my horse who has cushings. I finally broke down and purchased these at an awesome price when my horse began overhearing once his fall coat grew in during 90 degree days. I have only used them twice to trace clip him and so far these do the job-I just hope they're good for the long run! Also, definitely recommend purchasing the cooling spray since these got hot fast.

A good quiet clipper
This is a great body clipper. It is super quiet and not too terribly expensive. Well worth it. I highly recommend it.

Not too shabby
My new four-year old gelding is already too fuzzy for Florida but is very sensitive so I went on the hunt for "quiet" clippers. These had great reviews and after watching tons of videos and researching I settled on this pair and a cordless pair for the twitchy bits. They ended up being fairly quiet in real life, but still a bit too vibrate-y for my guy. This is likely only his second lifetime clip though so for veteran fuzzy-beasts they should be quiet enough. They do run a bit hot, kool lube is definitely required and I would let them sit for a bit and use my secondary clippers while they cooled. I used the included 84 blades and probably would use the 10 blade next time around, the 84s are nice and wide but not the perfect body clipping blade. They seemed to get a bit dull toward the end of the clip, perhaps I didn't oil enough, but if you have a second pair on hand / a clean horse it doesn't seem too much worse than usual.

Light, cool, quieter
I got these hoping they would be quieter and easier to handle than other clippers I've used, and they are.I've only done the bridlepaths on my three horses, and maybe it's me, but they started out very quiet, but then they seemed a little louder than when I first got them by the time i was done. (I didn't bathe my horses first.)They sound about as loud as a buzzing bee or a horsefly, which my mare is apparently highly sensitive to, but we powered thru.. they are extremely light and easy on the hands. My mini yearling has never been clipped before, and we were done in 5 minutes. I planned on clipping his belly too since he had so much hair, but the weather and my schedule haven't clicked, and now it's too late. Next year.I did end up using them to shave my cat because he had mats all over, no problems. (he's never been shaved before.)As long as you keep them oiled, they don't get too hot, and I love how easy it was to clean out the blades when hair got caught in-between/underneath.

this is the perfect body clipper for beginners!! i bought it to try out because my horse was getting hair all over my new suede saddle and he was getting way to hot during our rides, so clipping was the best option and even for a beginner, with no instruction, and a dirty horse he looks fantastic!!!!!
A+++ TO ANDIS!!

I bought this to replace a large clipper I owned. It is a huge disappointment. I don't recommend it. It won't cut through my golden retrievers hair with out constant short hacking strokes. My other large animal Oster clipper master works better

I liked the price. I used these on my very fuzzy miniature mares. They clipped like a pro and did so very easily. In no time my miniature mares went from a fuzz ball to a very sleek summer coat. Very easy to use, quiet and run well. They come with the lubricant which was very nice and I used often to keep the clippers sharp.

Can anyone compare the Wahl KM10 to the Andis AGC? I've used the Andis for my professional clipping business and they seem to be dying on me. They have worked very well and held up great. Wondering if I should buy another pair or switch to the Wahl.

BEST ANSWER: The KM10 clippers are extremely light which I love. I have had problems with mine being a bit noisy, I think they are defective. If I get quieter clippers when they come back from service, they are amazing. You cannot beat a 5 year warranty, that alone is exceptional.
Are there other blades for this clipper?
Sierra L on Jan 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: yes, there are other blades you can use with it - the box lists all the blades - so you can buy them then order or pick up any different blades you want or maybe check their site for specs? I haven't used mine as ended up having my barn clip him but they use this kind too!
is this a pivot motor?
Doreen T on Jul 31, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I don't believe it is. If you go to the Andis web site they advertise "Pivot Motor" in the title of clippers equipped with that motor.
However, this AGC Super Two Speed is a great clipper. I'm a professional dog groomer and horse owner. This clipper is easily the best I have ever used.
Are the blades detachable?
Janet T on Jan 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes absolutely the blades are detachable. I used to own 2 other Oster clippers and I'm very happy with these Andis.
how many horses can be clipped with the andis agc super 2 speed clippers with t84 blade they are thoroghbreds that are stalled. How many will the blades clip before needing replacement?
A shopper on Dec 15, 2014
BEST ANSWER: You will need about 2 or 3 blade replacements throughout the job. However, the blades themselves are good quality and last for a long time. The blades heat up quickly, but not unreasonably so. One blade does two horses' all four feet before being too hot. The wire length is awesome, though, and the volume isn't too loud and the clipper is lightweight. They're not an amazing pair of clippers, but they're great for the price!!!
blades for the Andis AGC Super 2-speed clippers is there a blade that leaves 1/4" hair?
Judy R on Jan 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes. You will have to go to a dog groomer type catalog to get a variety of blades. I think a #4 leaves a quarter of an inch. But, I suspect you will be using it on a horse. In which case it might not cut tough horse hair and can leave it looking like corduroy. If you want to do their legs your better off using a mane comb against the skin and lay of the hair. Then clipping with a #10 Takes a bit of practice but looks very natural
what's the voltage for these? 110-240v?
A shopper on Nov 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This clipper is made to be used in the USA with the standard US voltage.
