Andis CeramicEdge Pet Clipper Blades
The Andis® CeramicEdgeTM Clipper Blades are engineered with advanced technology and the certified Zicronium Oxide Ceramic that Andis® uses on their ceramic cutters makes these more durable than other imported ceramic clipper blades. The low heat transfer and friction index of ceramic keeps these clipper blades running 50% cooler than traditional steel blades. This allows you to use less coolant to clip longer and faster with less downtime. Compatible with all Andis®, Oster®, Laube®, Conair® and Wahl® detachable clippers.
Features:
· Ceramic cutter stays up to 75% cooler than steel cutters
· Improves blade durability for longer lasting blades
· Ultimate cutting versatility

Work great and leave a clean cut.

blades clog
The blades clog easily and do not keep hair up to get under for a clean cut. They are.not forgiving unless you hold your clippers at a certain angle. The blades are not good on medium growth hair. Metal blades of same make and model are.much better.
Blades stay sharp a long time
The ceramic blades run cool & stay sharp through multiple uses...been using them for years and never had the metal on them rust...love them...

I do not see a 30" blade, for close clipping on muzzle?
BEST ANSWER: Hi Terry I use # 40 for muzzle, ears and bridle path. Also it’s not “ inches but rather the # The higher the # the closer the cut. Hope this has helped.
Thanks, always thought the 40 would be close surgical. At least it was many years ago, so used 10 for body & 30 for muzzle, ears, etc. Well I guess I will give it a try! Thanks Again!

The bigger the number, the finer the blade. I use 40 for muzzle, bridlepath, and ears. 50 if it's a week long show.
Thanks they must have deleted the 30, so 40 it is!
I use a 10 blade for everything, including body clipping.

BEST ANSWER: they can come apart using the phillips head screws on the front, but putting them back together requires a careful touch. Better to use blade wash or some other cleaner, and keep them well lubricated.

what is the best blade to use on a Dandee Dinmont coarse curly tough hair ?
BEST ANSWER: As a professional equestrian I've used many different clipper blades on my high performance horses before but there is only one blade that stands out of all of them and that's the Andis Ceramic Edge Clipper Blade! It is extremely durable and never gets hot! Highly recommend this blade! Never will buy anything else!

What blade number is best for extra coarse, wiry matted hair?
BEST ANSWER: I really like the Andis 10 ceramic blade. I have used many blades but this has stayed sharp the best. It cuts through hair easily and stays cool because of the ceramic edge.
