I use this supplement for digestive maintenance. My mare gets only hay/mixed grass pellets and vitamins. I worry when she can't graze during the fall/winter months and want to be sure her gut is comfortable. I have added Ulc-R-Aid to all of my horses feed with success (no colic when using this product). YAY!

I've used this product successfully to prevent or cure ulcers. When bringing a new horse home, when my horses may be stressed or on meds, I top-dress Ulc-R-Aid for a week or so to prevent ulcers and to cure any that may be forming.
Lynda Z on Oct 1, 2016
My horses don't have ulcers as they are on natural grass here in the great plains and not confined. I wanted the magnesium and calcium to balance out the other supplement I use. Bonus...has immune building ingredient!

Can't beat the price. Excellent product, like it better than Ulcer Guard. My horse will eat this all by it's self, no need to add molasses to feed.

I put my mare on this supplement after she was diagnosed with ulcers a few months ago. One tub lasted three months and in those three months her ulcers have healed to the point that I won't need to spend over $1000 treating her for them. I am thrilled and my mare will never be without this supplement!

I have received good feedback on the product from friends. It was reasonably priced and easy to add to my Gelding's feed. It seems to be working and he is putting weight back as he is eating his grain again..not so picky

is Ulce-R-Aid in a powder?
Dawn R on Dec 10, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, a corse powder (too fine to be a crumble). Easy to feed. Not as fine (or messy) as the U-guard powder, although that never bothered me.
Does this need to be given twice daily?
Allie on Jan 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Ideally, it should be given with each meal, especially if your horse doesn't have hay or forage available 24/7. I have had maintenance success with administering once per day (extra large helping) with grazing/forage available. If you suspect ulcers, make sure your horse is treated for that first. This is a great gut maintenance product!
Would this product be used on a horse that has been treated for ulcers in the past? and is it fed daily or for short periods of time? Thanks!
A shopper on Oct 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: My vet recommended that I put my stallion on this all the tme to maintain after I used a tube of some other stuff he gave me to treat the ulcers. I have him and all my horses that get fed grain on it now. I use the full dose on my stallion but I split it between his 2 grain feedings so he eats some with each meal. My horses that dont have ulcer problems get a half dose a day which I also split between their 2 meals as a preventative
Are ingredients show legal?
Heidi A on May 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I emailed USEF, there are no ingredients on banned list as of July 2018.
i see a lot of people using this as a maintenance , has anyone had success with usuing this as treatment for a horse with mild signs of ulcers? my barrel horses performance has recently slacked off and i noticed him being a bit cinchy. not extreme cinchy but he is pinning his ears somewhat where he didnt do that previously. so i wanted to get him on something to prevent ulcers but also to treat if he had some mild ulcers already if that makes sense?
