Awesome!
Perfect for what we need. Love that it breaks apart not only for storing easier but I often only use bottom have as I’m “directing”. Durable and will get much use out of it. Very reasonable priced.

Love that this whip can come apart for storage, and it's very sturdy, I recommend this whip!
Just what I needed...
Easy to put together or take apart; convenient to store; doesn't "crack" as well as a one piece whip but I don't have to do a lot of "cracking", in fact, I usually just use the base piece...just an extension of my arm and space. You could even use the base piece as a dressage whip!
Nice pop, but a bit heavy and awkward.
I bought this to use for lunging and long lining. I found it a bit heavy and not as well balanced as I would like. It is nice and sturdy, and the popper works well. It would probably be better suited to lunging where you don't have to be so precise with both hands. I was able to use it by holding it in my "front" hand and pointing it toward the hip, not ideal but doable.Nice length, and again, it is nice and durable and in our barn durability is always a plus for anything multi-purpose.

its very long, but i use the top part as a lunge whip and handle part as a riding crop, because its to long put together, at least for a short person like me!

I got this because my horse stopped listening to my voice in the round pen. I don't like how you attach the handle part to the lash part, it's a small metal thing you twist together. And after awhile you have to re-twist it back or it come apart. So, I just hold the top part and work with that and use the bottom grip piece as somewhat of a dressage whip when riding. The popper end is starting to fray, but nothing a little tape can't fit, it also sits outside hanging, maybe that's why it frays? It's stiff, not very flexible but how does it matter? I've had horses run over it, chew on it, just about do everything to it. No mold or anything so far on it. But all in all, it does what I need it to, so I'm happy.

the pieces are a little hard to fit together, but I like it because my horse HATES the lash/popper , so I can just use the grip handle end when lunging him.

This whip is HUGE. when put together, it's easily 6'. I would have loved for it to be 3 pieces instead of 2 (maybe 2 for the handle and a separate one for the string...) but it's a good quality whip. I usually just hold it part of the way up.Has really good weight to the handle-Very easy to use

Someone said this is huge. Is it 3 feet or not? I have a difficult Arabian and need a whip that is longer than my crop since I am short and cannot reach back to his bum very easily
BEST ANSWER: Well... when the two parts are put together it's about a 6' rod and 6' cord that dangles. However, when broken down into the two "break apart" pieces; one piece (with the handle) is 42" long. The second piece is 32" long with the 6' cord. You could use one of the two pieces, however, it's rather heavy compared to a standard 26" crop that I like. Perhaps a dressage crop/whip would have the reach you need, but be better balance and light. Hope this helps! Thais

Linda: I love this whip, nice and long, and when put together it is greater than 3 feet. Not sure this would work for riding. If lunging is what you want to use the whip for I highly recommend it. If you need a long riding whip check out the dressage whips. They come in various lengths. Good luck with your training.
I don't recall if it is 3 feet or not, it is definitely long and if you are using it to longe the horse it is long enough. If you are looking for a whip while riding, that is longer than a crop, then the part that breaks off from this whip should be long enough, or you might look at a dressage whip.
This is a lunge whip, used for lunging from the ground. I cannot tell from your question if you are looking to use it while you are riding or lunging. It is way too big to use while riding. Hope this helps!
This is a lunge whip used when lunging a horse. It is over 5 feet long and definitely not meant for riding. Look for an English dressage whip which would be longer than a crop.
