Surcingle is nice, but rings are cheap
The surcingle itself is nice but you may want to add your own rings. One fell off on the first use. It is well padded and soft. Nice size and easy to fit with English girths for various sized horses.

Good for the price
Nice, basic surcingle. Fits a 13.2 mule at the smallest setting; I will need to punch a couple of extra holes for the 13 hand one. Other than that, this serves the purpose well for not much money.

I'm very happy! It was everything I expected according to the description. The delivery was a few days faster than I expected. I would order again from State Line, thank you.

A very good buy.
The girth is 34”. That was long for my Medium pony so I shortened by folding and sewed the flaps down on my normal sewing machine. The surcingle can be used with a regular girth or dressage girth as well. It is a great deal.

Great surcingle for a great price
This is a great item for a great price. Fits my large pony up to my fat OTTB.

It’s ok
This is ok. It would be a lot better if the rings were larger and snaps could fit through them. The girth is horrible and is just a strip of nylon, I replaced it with a fleece lined dressage girth and it works well. Size seems a bit off too. I have a small quarter horse and it fits him on the last holes. Would not well work for larger horse

I am starting back to driving my mare. I will go through initial training slowly and happily. The surcingle is easier for early stages of long reining than to use the full harness.

This seemed to be the best deal for the price and will allow for it to be replaced easily should it not work out. It will suit my needs and limited use perfectly.

Fits my Arabian perfectly. Not sure if this would work for larger animals. Girth is not padded but I don't plan on doing hours of ground work so I think it will do just fine

I need something for my horse head placement. Is this a good thing to use?
A shopper on Jan 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: a head set is not a good thing. So doing side rains or something like that is not the best thing to do. Side rains if ever used should be on the loose side, but should only be done by someone who is experienced with them. even then they are not a perferd way of teaching a horse to go round. You want to teach your horse to stretch. first teach them to put there nose to the ground. Relax relax relax .. then you start to collect them you always want the horse reaching for the bit , not curling there neck head.. Start by asking them to reach and reward when you get the correct response. Read about long aND low and how to apply leg to create forward movment. Lots of softing right and left have to get them flexible through the rib cage. This item is good for long lining and such.
can you use a normal English girth with this product?
KaylaT1888 on Apr 27, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I am able to use any girth with this surcingle. I put a fleece cover on the one that came with it to better protect my horses.
Does it come in Extra Large for an 84" girth draft horse?
A shopper on Sep 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The one I bought was not for a draft horse, but it was large enough for a 1300 pound horse.
is this surcingle able to be used with a dressage girth?
Sara J on Dec 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Just checked this morning and the billets will work with a dressage girth. It comes with a 32 inch single web nylon girth. It fits my 16.2 H Off the track TB. Great value for the money.

Is there a ring to connect a tie down?
A shopper on Aug 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, but you can put it upside down and use the rings that way.
Will this fit 91”?
A shopper on Jan 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We have draft horses and ended up with a bigger surcingle with bigger rings also. That one fits 104" girth.
This surcingle is the smaller one which I had 12: extenders put on in order to fit. Also the rings are too small to put drive line snaps thru. But depending on what your application is - you can decide. Be sure to think of
the ring size as well as the girth length when ordering. . Our horse is 13" larger than your desired length. Ask Stateline tack to measure to the last hole. Since we have altered our, I can not measure for you.. Hope this helps.
Hello. Can you please tell me if there is there a ring on the girth that comes with this surcingle?
Jessie M on Jun 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, there is not a ring on the girth of this surcingle.
How can I wash this?
Alyssa C on Mar 31, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would wash it in a wadhing machine, and hang dry it. That is the way I wash all my tack like this.
Is it possible to add a ring to the girth?
A shopper on Feb 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not really, but the multiple rings manufactured on it make adding more truly unnecessary.
The number of rings is why I chose this one. It was great working my Colt, but I did clip a latch clasp on at first, just to give me a bit more leverage starting out.
Hope this helps. 😇Enter
