Product Summary:

Bates Leather Webbers

Bates Leather Webbers are revolutionary stirrup straps made without buckles to reduce the lump under the rider’s thigh and provide closer contact to the horse. The single thickness under the leg removes excess bulk and interference, facilitating the accurate delivery of leg aids. Made in luxurious Bates leather, with a webbing core to ensure they will not stretch and cause unevenness.

I'm giving these, Bates Webbers a try cause the buckles of my current traditional leathers on my new saddle, are too much bulk under my thigh.

I have used a synthetic pair and love them! No buckle under your thigh. Buying a leather pair to match my saddle!

Current leathers poke out a bit and I prefer a narrow fit around the twist of my saddle. Trying these instead!

I ORIGINALLY ORDERED THE SIZE 24 AND THEY WERE TOO SHORT....NOT QUITE 23 INCHES. NEEDED A BIGGER SIZE.

Bates Webbers are high quality and absolutely save your legs from the dreaded buckle rubs!
Annette G on Sep 18, 2018
I have been using Bates Webbers for years and I love them! No bulk under my thighs, good quality, easy to adjust. I wanted a second pair so I can keep both my dressage irons and my trail irons on separate sets of leathers for different riding conditions. I highly recommend them!

I wanted less bulk under my leg

eliminating the buckle saves your legs from pressure points and pinching. I would never go back to traditional stirrup leathers. No bulk equals no pain.

Do the Bates have the higher hole to raise stirrups for storage like the Wintec version?
Laurel W on Jan 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes they do! I love mine by they way :)
Is there a size chart to help with selection of length? I am 5"3" and switching to dressage saddle. I have no idea which length would suit me plus a 5'4" rider who also rides my horse occasionally.

do these work for aussie saddles?
A shopper on Nov 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Mine is a Bates saddle and they work great on ut. It is an all purpose.Enter
I am five foot six my horse is 17.1 hands what size stirrup should I get?
kat r on Aug 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 28". I'm 5'8"(alot of leg) I have 28" for my hunt saddle and in the bottom hole for my dressage saddle. I should have gotten 32" for dressage.
I'm having problems with the Bates Webbers passing through my stirrups. They are too thick at either end. What brand of stirrups fit the Bates Webbers?
Joseph M on Feb 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I use these with my larger cage style endurance stirrups and my English irons. I had trouble attaching to the irons. Had to eventually thread the end of the leathers that hook onto the saddle itself through the stirrup. Was able to squeeze it through.
Can they be adjusted?
A shopper on Apr 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Oh yes, they have inset holds just like regular and a hole higher to "run them up." Love these. Never ride in anything else now.
What is the difference between this and the Bates classic webber?
A shopper on Apr 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Bates only makes one webber, in 3 different colors.
Classic Brown is one of the colors offered.
how close are the length adjustment holes? 1" or 1/2"
A shopper on Feb 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I bought the 28 inch, 70 cm. Hole length, bottom to bottom, is a teeny bit short of 1 1/8 inch.
