Product Summary:

Brittany Pozzi Rubber Nose Hackamore

This is my favorite bit in my collection. I have ridden two different horses to world titles using this hackamore. The hackamore is great for a horse that just needs some guiding around the turn or one that does not like a bit in its mouth. The side pull action on the shank makes it easy for your horse to work without getting in its way and gives you a small amount of lift. The black rubber covered metal nose piece gives it great balance on the horse’s nose and more control for those long runs to the barrel.  - Brittany Pozzi

my horse has a smaller head than do I measure for a hackamore?
LAURINE W on Apr 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The Hackamore should sit about halfway between the bottom of the eye and the top of the nostril, and about halfway up the jaw when it is pulled tight with the tied on. So, take a string and circle it around the nose at those two points, then measure the length of the string.
how long is the shank??
Kristy B on May 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They come in three different lengths: 6 1/2, 7 1/4, and 8"..
The 8 is not too long and it works great for a strong horse.
I was wondering what is underneath the rubber nose band? Is it metal or is just a straight rubber nose band, or chain covered by metal?
Beth M on Mar 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Bicycle chain nose on mine. Works great.
