Does the red bulb produce more heat than a clear bulb?
A shopper on Nov 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The red bulb is best for chicks for two reasons, the first is the heat, the second is it allows the chicks to sleep as it produces a low light. Remember to always keep a thermometer in the brooder so you do NOT over heat the chicks.
