I have an older horse who gets mashes. but he likes to fling his buckets off of the hooks. Hopefully this will keep them on hook until he's finished eating :)

BEST ANSWER: Yep, your guess is exactly right! This is the best invention ever! It makes it so very easy to hang a full bucket yourself without spilling! One confession, we had one horse who would play with it and started pulling it out and tossing it into the shavings in his stall so we attached it with a little chain. :)
