I'm allergic to pyrethrins and this works well to repel flies and other biting insects from my horses' ears, faces, and sheaths.

I was using Farnam roll on fly repellent but wanted something with fewer chemicals in it. Worth a try. I got the larger one plus an extra one for the other horses in my barn. I hope it helps.

It works really well, smells great, & isn't toxic to humans or animals. Love the larger gel size - we use it a lot for faces & under tummies.
Caroline N on Jul 15, 2016
Wanted to try something for my horses faces during this fly season, that is non-chemical. The other reviews seem to say it works, hope so!

Can I use fly & tick gel in my dog?
A shopper on Jun 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I would double check with your veterinarian just to make sure. Also when I purchased item it was more like a cream not a gel as I was hoping and it was. difficult to apply as it just poured out of the bottle. I live in Texas so not sure if the heat was a factor- should not be but never know
Does it stay on long?
A shopper on Apr 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: For us, it lasts for a good ride & is good in the pasture for the night when the horses are turned out. I've used it for three years & love the stuff - the best natural product I've tried.
