what size would you rec for a small mini?
A shopper on Jul 20, 2016
Best Answer: I bought the pony size over a year ago for a good friend of mine who had a horse that was around 14hh. I would say probably a sucking if the mini is a bit smaller or if the mini is a bit stocky then a weanling might be a better fit. Although i must say my friend never used the halter on a wash rack so it never got wet until one day it just fell apart and the horse wasnt even moving.

What color is the hardware on this halter?
Steohanie T on Feb 22, 2016
Best Answer: Sorry I'm slow with a reply. I looked at the halter, and it appears that it came with brass hardware, but it was a coating. After two years of use most of it has rubbed off and at this point it looks chrome.

my horse has a draft head what size is right?
A shopper on Aug 7, 2015
Best Answer: You would need "Oversize" I don't think this halter comes that big. Although the "horse" size is unusually large so you might be able to try that.

is it brown or black?
Ava U on May 21, 2015
Best Answer: It's brown. And really nice - especially for the price. Appears to be much more expensive (i.e. higher quality) than its price.

Is this halter a breakaway halter?
Judy T on Apr 13, 2015
Best Answer: This halter is solid leather, it does not have a specific breakaway section.

But since it is all leather it should break if the horse gets caught. I use it for turnout purposes myself and my horse has gotten it off once or twice (whole not ripped).

what is cob size?
A shopper on Jan 16, 2015
Best Answer: These halters run on the large size. So my 14.2 hand Quarter horse with a petite head worked fine with the Cob size. My husbands horse who is 16 hands tall took a horse size. Which was a little bit too big for her. But it still looks okay. Even the Cob size still is a little big for my horse. Normally Cob would fit a large Pony.

I also need a lead rope to match this halter?
A shopper on Apr 24, 2015
Best Answer: Yes. I like to use the soft cotton rope leads and not the nylon. The nylon burns your hands if it gets pulled but the cotton has give and stretch.

Is sckln a halter that is for recent born?
A shopper on Jul 18, 2016
Best Answer: Yes, suckling size is sized for a foal that is still nursing. Foals change so quickly that you will go through several different sizes so if this one doesn't fit today, it might fit next week. This halter is well designed for safety and easy to use. We always start our foals wearing the figure eight leather halter with in the first few days and lead them with gentle pressure on the halter and a but rope if necessary, although we don't tie them until they are much older.

I can't tell from the picture, does this halter show stitching on it or is it just a flat piece of leather?
A shopper on Sep 15, 2015
Best Answer: There is top stitching but it is dark. From a distance it looks like flat leather. If you enlarge the image, you can just see the stitching.
