They are durable.

This is my 3rd Crusader mask for this horse. They last multiple years in spite of rough treatment in my wooded pasture , fit well and (best of all) have a slit for my half Arab's huge forelock.

I have a 1/2 Arab, 15h. Not sure of the size?
A shopper on Aug 30, 2013
Best Answer: Hi. I think the Arabian size should fit just fine. It has plenty of adjustment and will fit most Arabian and half Arabians.
I have a quarter horse who has had to use one of the Arabian masks in a pinch since he likes to leave his hidden in the pasture.
I love these masks; the forelock hole is the best at keeping it out of their eyes. And they last multiple seasons.

I have a large mule who wears a draft or extra large halter. Not sure to go with mule/warmblood mask with ears or mule/draft. My mule has no draft in him, he is just big. Anyone experience buying these masks for mules?
Thanks
Bette Anne Q on Feb 16, 2014
Best Answer: Since he is a mule I would go for the one without the ears so as not to interfere with fit, and since he does use draft size halters also it just makes sense to me. I only have experience with arabs though so hopefully some one with a mule will answer.

Quarter horse or Arabian size? My quarter horse wears the quarter horse size but way too big under chin with velcro
Lynn E on Aug 27, 2016
Best Answer: If your QH has a refined head you might try the Arab size. Sounds like Horse size is too big and Warmblood size would be even larger. As long as it clears his eyes, I would give the Arab one a try :)

My TN Walking horse gelding has sensitive skin and masks tend to rub his face badly. Is the Cashel mask soft enough not to irritate? Thanks for your help
catsnhorses on Jun 23, 2016
Best Answer: Yes, I believe so. The Cashel masks are quite soft and supple. They have the added benefit of no bright dyes which I think irritate some sensitive horses.
I have been using Cashels on all of my horses for six years and have had no problems.
I put one on my two year old filly when she was just a baby and her tender skin was like velvet, with no issues.
Good Luck!

Can the mask be
washed?
A shopper on Sep 21, 2016
Best Answer: It washes well! I wash ours in the washing machine on gentle cycle or give them a good rinsing with the hose. Hang to dry. They dry very fast. I wouldn't put them in the dryer.

Two holes for ears?
A shopper on Mar 8, 2017
Best Answer: From my experience with these masks, they have two holes for ears and one in the middle for the forelock.
They fit well and I love that the forelock is out of their eyes.
These are great masks. They wash nicely too.
