I have a full set of these in blue and they have been a life saver for my horse! I used them all last summer and have put them on again for this season but I intend to alternate them now to prolong their life. I can't stress enough how well they work and how much of a life saver these have been!

I have a 1200 lb 15.2 HH QH gelding. What size would you recommend? And do these have stays to help keep them up?
Roxann P on May 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have 4 Arabs and a smaller 1000lb quarter horse. The Arab size fits both - they are almost too big for them so I think unless your horse has a huge amount of bone that Arab would fit. They stay up pretty darn well - just a well designed product. so much better than any other leg fly guard i have used. They work particularly well on the shorter cannon boned horses. I have one leggy mare that the flies still get at her between the top of the boot and her knee.
Do you get front and back?
Jones D on Mar 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely! Flies bite front AND back legs. I get pink for the front and orange for the back for my 3 big warmblood boys.
Can these leg guards be used for turnout or are they for stall use only?
Cheryl M on Apr 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have been iusing Cashel Leg Guards for 2 years now and just purchased the orange (back legs) and pink (front legs) for my warmbloods. They are greatly improved over last years- I like that the dirt falls out (doesn't "hold" the dirt) but the flies & mosquitoes can't get through. My 3 boys are turned out all day in pretty rough conditions (hot Florida plus we have 2 ponds they go in and out of) and I can definitely recommend them for tough turnout. Having said that, we go through several pair a year just like we go through multiple fly masks (they rip them off each other) but that is the cost of keeping my boys fly free.
Can these be worn 24/7 out in pasture? In mud and water?

BEST ANSWER: I am in Florida as well and my QH gelding wears them 24/7 to protect a wrap for summer sore. He is turned out and it stays in place and does a great job. They get covered in mud sometimes but get easily washed off with a hose. But like with everything that involves a horse, I would check daily on it just to make sure everything sits in place.
Is the front and hind the same size?
A shopper on May 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I only use them on the front and they fit perfect , but I tried them on the rear legs and they fit pretty well there also , I use them when my horses are in Florida , as fly season never ends there, but I'm from New England and rarely use them here (less flys )
How much of the purchase price is donated to breast cancer research (pink ones) or animal rescues (orange ones)?
A shopper on May 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: $1.00 per pair.
