Because my horse shakes his head when we ride and I think it might have to do with small insects

Have these, and mine are getting worn out. My horse needs the protection from bugs hitting him in the face on trail rides.

My gelding will slam on his brakes while trail riding to rub his nose on his leg or the ground, be it bugs or pollen from willow trees.

I picked this one due to the very affordable price. It stopped my horse's headshaking and makes such a difference in our ride. It is easy to take off and put on. I am very happy with this product.

Saw one at a horse show this weekend and thought I would like to try it out myself.

Our OTTB has some allergies or sensitivity to seasonal pollens and other allergens, this nose net seems to help him reduce the head shaking. I had hand made several for him, but I find this one fits better!

I purchased a fly mask with the long nose extension on it. My horse loves it. I have a second mask that does not have the long nose so I am going to attach the nose net to it.

I need a littlt exra length for my quiet ride mask that I already own. This is a less expensive alternative to a whole new mask.

Sizing for this nose mask ? My horse is a cobb bridle
A shopper on Mar 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It should be fairly universal as far as fitting a variety of different horse sizes. You will be able to gather it where it attaches on the noseband.

My AQHA has photic head shaking syndrome in the spring/summer. I sewed little seed beads around the trim to act as a weight (preventing wind from flipping it up).
It's a great product and worth a try!
Does this product really work and does it fit all sizes? I have a 14hh pony
A shopper on Jun 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes this product works really well. My horse is allergic to flies and it keeps his nose fly free while we ride. It attaches only to a bridle or halter. But it is an easy attachment. My horse is barely above a pony size and it fits him well. So I'm pretty sure this will fit a 14 h pony.
For a 16 hh TB, what size would you recommend? S, M or L?
Claudia B on Jul 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I am not sure what size mine is, it would have been the largest available at the time i ordered it, because I have draft horses. Fits my horses fine. Hope it helps
how do you fit it without using a noseband ?
how do you fit it to a western bridle?
Stacey D on Jul 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I carry one in my first aid kit just in case the bugs are too much for the horse. Sometimes spray doesn't work. If there's no noseband, I either make something out of a string, use a grooming halter to attach it to or create a little band out of a piece of nylon webbing & some Velcro from the fabric store.
Does this have UV protection?
A shopper on May 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It does not say anywhere on packaging that this net has UV protection, so I assume it does not. I went to the Cashel Company website for horse care products and they do not list this as having UV protection. They do make a heavier mesh nose net (light grey - more for pasture turnout) that does have 70% UV protection.
