I was hoping to make my show saddle more comfortable, but the cushion is visible so I bought a new saddle instead :)

I am small, thin, and have no padding in my seat. I'm looking for a more comfortable ride.

I bought one of these pads years ago for a different saddle and wore it out. I now have a new saddle and need just a little more padding without losing any of the seat length.

I was in need of this type of cushion and I understand that Cashel is a very good product. Will keep my fingers crossed.

I use this under my shearling seat cover- it could be thicker.

How does this attach to the saddle? I have had prior problems with seat covers shifting or losing the elastics. I use an endurance saddle without a horn.
Kate S on Apr 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I use this on a western saddle, and have never had a problem with shifting. It has a strap that goes around the cantle, and a loop that stretches under the pommel and gets looped over the horn. It is a great product- helps provide cushioning and lasts quite a while. Perhaps an english saddle version would work better?
What material is the covering? Is it a slippery nylon type material, faux suede or what?
A shopper on May 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not slippery at all. It's good material but the standard cushion is too short for me. I recommend the long one.
