Nott worth the money.
These pads are very thin and very hard. If your looking for some extra padding for your boots, keep looking.

Soft and thin, but not terribly durable.
I put these in a pair of hoofboots for cusioning my mare's tender footedness. They arent bulky, but they arent terribly durable either. Fine for walking or easy trotting, but get worn through once we started cantering. It depends on what youre wanting to do.

good but doesn't last
I bought a couple of these pads to insert into my Cavallo horse boots, one, to add more protection over sharp rocks, two, to help tighten a slightly loose fitting boot. For both reasons they worked great but I guess for the price I was disappointed. The pad wore through at the heels on both horses I used it on. Now I will need to buy more for the next trail ride.

Defeinitely only for temporary use
When they say temporary use, they mean it! They don't last long. Holes were wearing through the 2nd day. I used them in the Cavallo Trek boots. I will say they did help the boots fit better. I sized for the Cavallo boots on a fresh trim. My horse was right on the border line of a size one and size two. I went with the size two. When I put the Treks on, they rotated a bit. I looked inside the boot and the surface is pretty slick, so I slipped the gel pads in. The boot fit much better. I hope they improve this product or replace it with a material that lasts longer.

short life
These pads are probably helpful if your horse is very bruised; they may only last a week or two but that may be all you need for the horse's bad foot pain.

they're okay
I just got the cavallo sport boot and had these in them. I tried without the gel pads first and then with them. Using them definitely seemed to make my horse more willing to pick his feet up higher, and just in general he seemed more comfortable. When he see's them out and I ask for his foot he seems to pick up his foot instantly w/ no complaint, when sometimes he pretends to ignore me a little. For the horse's sake I think they're worth every penny. But I have used these for about two weeks now and maybe it's just my horse, but his hooves are like wearing holes into the pads. The boot doesn't budge on his foot when I try to move it, but the pads are wearing out way faster than I expected. The pads are wearing out towards the back of the hoof, like where the hoof walls are on either of the frog. I want to see if putting duck tape there might help prevent it when I get my next set of gel pads. hope this helps. I think there definitely worth a try.

The front boots I purchased were just a little bit big for my mare and the pads helped fill a little of the extra space for a better fit.

These pads were chosen to provide support to my thoroughbred's flat sole. They were cut to fit into the Old Macs G2 Boot.

I'm looking for pads to fit inside a pair of miniature boots. Can these be cut to fit?
A shopper on Sep 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I think you definitely could cut them down, but you may look into using a human foot cushion like Dr. Shells....May be cheaper and waste less.
Are this pads for pavement?
A shopper on Sep 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not really. Think of them like doctor shulls gel pads you might buy to put in your own boots or shoes. I uses them inside the boot on a mare that her hooves broke off really short & she also had an abscess making her limp. It helped her to walk & trot with out flavoring that hoof.
I would use them inside an Easy Boot Back Country. Do they hold up?
Birdie A on Jul 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I like these and use them inside Cavallo Boots. They hold up better than other materials/products I've tried, but they don't last forever. Hard to say how long they last as it depends on how often and long you ride. I'd suggest you give them a try.
