I've used this pad for years, and it is excellent. It does not rub the hair off or cause discomfort in any way. It is the best!

After looking at many saddle pads and reading the reviews on the Classic Equine ContourPedic, I decided this was the one to try!

Horse comfort and saddle stability. Also like how easy it is to clean! Hose it off and hang to dry. Still using it today!

Like the way it conforms to horses backs... but the 30x30 is bit small. Would choose the larger sizer next time.
Winona Walker on Jan 10, 2017
Trainer nearby said this is the only pad he will ride with. He has used his daily for 2 years and rides 8-10 horses a day and the pad is still going strong... so I know it will last!

NANCY K on May 20, 2015
Saw it in a tack store as a round cut but I wanted a square cut pad. Seemed like it will provide good padding and support.

I bought this pad for my husband as a gift. I have heard it is s great saddle pad and since is going to start rising again after his retirement, I wanted him to have a good pad that is cooling and a comfort for his horse.

Nancy K on Mar 28, 2014
I purchased a used one of these and it fit my horse beautifully so I bought a new one. It did not fit my horse and actually rubbed his withers. I sold it to someone else.

How accurate are the pad measurements? I bought the round one and it stated that it was 30x30 but is actually 28x28. Don't want to get the wrong size again.

I have a horse with mutton withers, I am wondering what you would recommend?
Jeanne L on Dec 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I spoke to a saddle fitter prior to choosing this pad. Every horse is different.
When a horse sweats, does this pad cause itching?
A shopper on Sep 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, I’ve never experienced my horse to itch after sweating in pad area while using this pad. I also rinse my horse after hard riding in summer and definitely allow horse to dry completely prior to blanketing in winter!
Is this a foam pad?
A shopper on Aug 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is. I really like it except when my horse gets sweaty and it slides and moves alittle. Good pad overall though
Classic equine pad with neoprene back?
A shopper on Aug 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It’s neoprene under with a felt liner on the top with leather wear strips!
Is it possible to order this brand if saddle pad in a shorter body length?
Molly on Mar 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately we do not have any shorter sizes available in this pad.
Have a short backed horse 30X30 barely fits...will 31 X32 hurt? Having problems with one saddle rubbing top of withers
A shopper on Dec 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: A 30x30" pad should fit a short-backed horse, so I'm assuming you mean it "barely fits" the saddle. First off, no padding will correct for an ill-fitting saddle. If your saddle touches the withers, it does not fit. I'm no authority, but in general, the pad should stick out about an inch all the way around the saddle. It should not be so long as to touch the horse's hip in the back. recommend you look up some articles on saddle fitting.
How thick is it?
A shopper on Aug 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It's not quite 1 inch thick: it has a 1/8" wool felt top and a 3/4" closed cell foam bottom.
is this good quality?
A shopper on Nov 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it's good quality. It does require a small amount of care, it should be wiped down with a damp cloth and allowed to dry after each use. It only takes a couple of minutes and will help it last. I'm very happy with mine, now eight people at my barn are using it.
My new horse has mutton withers, and carries a little extra weight. My thick pad/blanket combos really let the saddle slip. How do you feel this would work?
A shopper on Apr 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm sorry, we have no personal experience with this item. I would suggest reading customer reviews and ratings.
will this pad work for a sway back? I have tried a bridge pad and it was too much.
A shopper on Nov 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, it is hard to say for sure, as each horses back and every saddle is different. I use this pad on all my horses with all my saddles, except my English saddles, and i have quite the assortment of horses.

The foam on this pad does a pretty good job of adjusting to the back of each horse is put on.
