R they made of rubber?

BEST ANSWER: Yes they are and seem to be pretty tough. I recommend putting them in the sun for a while to warm them up before putting them on. They strech much better that way. I have had mine for a year or so and they seem to be very durable. I am not a roper but do use them to tie off colts and other horses I am working with.
