These are the best for wrapping sore or tired legs. They are super messy (wear disposable, throw-away gloves) and don't overwrap because when it dries it will be too tight. Lasts for ~2 days max.

Like to keep on hand for swelling in the pastern/fetlock that can be difficult to wrap with traditional poultice/paper.

Can I use this over poultice without a standing wrap?
trinity r on Dec 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The cool cast is covered in a brace (pink clay I think) and pretty messy. Believe it is meant to be in direct contact with the skin, not over a standing wrap (don't wrap too tight though b/c when it dries it shrinks slightly and will too tight).
My horse is feild boarded and has no access to a stall. Will this be ok to keep on in muddy conditions during the day?
Penny on Nov 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: What is the reason for use? I use them after endurance ride competitions and leave on ~12 hours. My horses are not stalled. I can't speak to heavy mud conditions, though. If applied correctly, they should be fine for 12 hours.
What do you use to wrap over the poultice? How long are they left on?
Susan G on Apr 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I used this product when my horse had a severe case of cellulitis. I would wrap it over night. Take off in am. I didn't put anything over it. It dried fIrly quickly and hardened up . Good product !! Helped with the swelling. I used this in conjunction with cold hosing, and other wraps alternating every third day or so.
