Product Summary:

Mustang CorrectFit Barrel Saddle Pad

The CorrectFit Saddle Pad helps with hard-to-fit conformation, high withers, narrow shoulders or asymmetrical muscle development. This contoured two-toned orthopedic grade felt saddle pad with Poron XRD encased in high-quality, memory foam build-up is specifically designed to relieve shoulder strain and pressure. On impact, Poron XRD behind the scapula isolates and provides a protective shield that absorbs up to 90% of force. Poron XRD molecules will not break down over time, and offer the same protection ride after ride. The uniquely designed build-up evenly aligns horse, pad and saddle for a CorrectFit.

how thick is it?
A shopper on Sep 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I believe the felt pad is 1" thick. Very dense felt, well made and works great. There is a cut out for the withers, and air vents along the spine. I've had it a year now, and have washed it with a high pressure hose to clean, and left if to dry in the sun. Always comes out perfect.
It says this is a barrel pad, is this the correct pic, is it round in the back or square?
A shopper on Apr 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It is round. It’s a great pad especially for horses with narrow withers. Helps to have the pads in the front to fill the gap.

Good for horse with high withers and wide gullet on saddle?
Coach on Jan 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely! I use mine for a Clydesdale thorobred cross. The pad has an oval shape cut out area, providing relief for high withers, and I use this pad on a Wintec 17" wide tree saddle.

I have a growing 4 year old, I just got her a saddle but the gullet is a bit wide on her, I know she'll get bigger but for the mean time I was curious if this saddle pad would help with filling in the extra space? I tried a pad with shims but it made it too tight. Thanks
trinity r on Apr 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It worked very well for my situation! I got this pad to help with saddle fit while a horse gained weight and added muscle. I liked it much better than shims. The gel in this pad has more "give" than my shims, and it seemed to mold to the horse's shape. Plus, you didnt have to mess with a shim slipping while you tightened the cinch, etc. I thought it was reasonably priced and well worth the money spent.
