This rasp did not work for me. My old one that I though was dull worked better than this one new

Do not buy this rasp!
Save your money....this rasp is the worst that I have ever used. My old rusty Belotta does much better. Stateline wll not let me return because I have used it once. Was I supposed o be able to tell that it was worthless without using it???? Won't shop stateline again because of this.

Not the very best, but it gets the job done. I am happy with the price I paid.

Gets the job done
I usually purchase the 17-1/2" Diamond rasp from Tractor Supply, and it's not a bad rasp. I have broken several of them in half with some heavy handling, but it gets the job done otherwise.

Works for me
My first time trimming, wasn't sure what to expect as far as how much effort/pressure needs to be applied. Farrier makes it look easy, Im sure he uses more expensive rasp. Decided for the price of the tools, in a year will have paid for themselves. Only 1 horse, bought Nippers, Knife and this Rasp. It worked, so I cant complain, glad I didnt buy anything cheaper. Read the reviews on other rasps, lots of disappointment, there was no review on this one but price was where I thought it should be for OK quality. You get what you pay for. This will serve my purpose for my one horse. I'm sure it would work if you had two horses too.

Needed a new hoof rasp with a file on one side... this one had good reviews and a fair price. Can give a better review after I use it.

Does this rasp come with a handle?
A shopper on Mar 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There is no separate handle, nor does it need one. As you can see from the illustration, there is a long end that I hold onto when filing my horses' hooves, as well as a smooth spot on the rounded end.
