How thick is the felt portion of the 3/4" pad?
A shopper on Feb 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The 1 inch option is 1 inch felt and the 3/4 inch option is 3/4 inch felt. The overall pad is a bit thicker when the wool fleece is added to the bottom.
What is the length of this saddle pad?
Katelyn B on Sep 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This pad is 32 inches by 32 inches.
Does it absorb shock good?
A shopper on Oct 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I am familiar with the 1" thick pad - and yes it absorbs shock well. It is quite thick and does not compress into a pancake. It has made my older quarter horse more comfortable (for her). She moves out more brightly with this pad. I use it under a cutting saddle and a back cinch.
Would the 3/4 or 1 inch version be better for roping?
A shopper on Nov 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The 1 inch option is 1 inch felt and the 3/4 inch option is 3/4 inch felt. The overall pad is a bit thicker when the wool fleece is added to the bottom. The one inch version tends to be more popular and will absorb a bit more shock than the 3/4 inch option.
