Looking for a quality pair of boots that will keep my feet warm in winter or wet conditions. These boots have good ratings, so thought I'd give them a try.

I have 6.5 size feet and 17in circumference calves, does anyone know the calf circumference measurement is?

I bought these boots for my daughter for Christmas. Can someone tell me if the boots are warm?
Lisa G on Oct 20, 2015
Best Answer: I bought them large enough to wear with two pairs of socks so my feet do stay warm while riding. I don't wear them for barn work because I've found that if they get wet, they take a really long time to dry out (2-3 days) unless I put them on a boot warmer.

Are these waterproof from top to bottom?
Sierra A on Sep 3, 2014
Best Answer: Hi! My mom got these for me for Christmas. We are in Texas, so we don't really have a lot of water to deal with, we've been in a drought forever! But I haven't had any issues... I did get knocked in the mud earlier in the spring by a crazy horse and my boots got covered in it but cleaned up just fine. I would say yes but you can always treat them with a waterproofing treatment to be on the safe side. I wear these all the time and they are holding up very well.

i wear a size 9 and have 13" calves. Does anyone know how small these can be adjusted? i don't want them to be baggy.
A shopper on May 6, 2015
Best Answer: I believe you could tighten the boots just to close up the laced area. Also, you can tighten the leather tab at the top a bit more. I'm not sure with a size 9 how wide the calf area is for that boot.

Do they fit if you have a wide calf?
A shopper on Oct 7, 2013
Best Answer: Yes! These are perfect for us ladies with wider calves. I have a hard time finding boots thay fit and actually returned a different pair of Dublin boots for that reason. These are roomy and can be adjusted with the pull strings on the side.

Can some one tell me how tall they are ?
Deb T on Feb 12, 2014
Best Answer: Hi Deb,
I am 5'7" and they do not come to the knee like a formal riding boot. They are tall. I find them much more comfortable to work and run around in than my regular riding boots.I also wear them to do errands and get many compliments.
They run about a half size large.
I love love love these boots. Will buy them over and over.

Are these easy to get on since it does not look like they have a zipper?
A shopper on Dec 2, 2015
Best Answer: I have large calves and these are great. I leave the laces just loose enough that I can just slide my foot in without doing anything to the laces. The boots are still new so they are stiff enough to stay upright. I store them with boot trees. Very comfy and convenient. If you want them laced tighter then you would have to loosen laces each time to remove boot. Easily done but takes a moment longer than a zipper. They looked so nice that I am wearing them for shopping and I have not yet worn them to the barn.

The pair i have now have the lace hanging down the side of the boot.. Do these have this ad its tucked in or don't they have it? Ronnie
A shopper on May 15, 2015
Best Answer: I have two pair of these and love them. Yes the lace is there, it's tucked in, and that's what I do when I wear them. or just bring it about half way up and catch it in the velcro and let it hang from there. The long lace comes in handy if you are wearing bulkier pants or big socks, I have to let it all the way out to get them on. I got so many compliments on these, from non horse people too.

What is the tread like on these? Are they comfortable for walking? I need them to be comfortable for riding, but also for hiking.
Sierra A on Sep 3, 2014
Best Answer: Sierra,

My wife wears these regularly for her cross country and english practice. She gives them an 8/10 on comfort and she is picky with boots due to flat feet. Comfort level for riding and wearing around the barn is high for her, she likes the tread for wear around the arena but says they would not make a great hiking boot due to the highly wrapping.

Is there enough heel lip to hold a spur?
Barnapples on Oct 31, 2014
Best Answer: I have worn spurs with these boots. The heel is a bit wide so I did have to stretch out the spur a bit, but the spurs stayed in place.
I love these boots, and wear them the minute the weather starts to get cold. Everyone in my barn has bought a pair as well, and we all have named it, the Ashwin boot.
I highly recommend these boots.

I saw that this was already asked but wanted more clarification on the color. When you go to select a color after entering your size it says "Chocolate". At the bottom of the product summary page, under color, it says "Chocolate Brown". On another website, I have seen that both colors are offered in the boot with "Chocolate Brown" appearing quite a bit darker than "Chocolate". What is the actual color of this boot? Thank-you
Angi J on Mar 10, 2017
Best Answer: The boots I ordered were listed as Chocolate for the color, which is more of a medium brown. The photo of the boots being worn is truer to color than the photo of the boots by themselves. The brown is not that dark.

What is the actual color? The one in the photo is not the traditional Dublin Chocolate. Please confirm.
K G on Jul 14, 2016
Best Answer: This boot comes in Dublin's 'Chocolate Brown' color. The lighting in the photo may make the boot appear slightly darker.

Shaft height please on this book?
jgerl on Jan 14, 2015
Best Answer: Not as high as a formal riding boot; just above the calf. These are my 'go to' boots for everything I do, other than ride. I don't ride in them as they have a thicker sole than my riding boots. But they are good for EVERYTHING else I do outside, and they look nice; and they're WARM and WATERPROOF. And snow can't get in! And they don't slip in the snow! If these ever wear out I'll get a second pair. I've used them in Massachusetts weather and Colorado weather. Seriously awesome. And this is unsolicited.

How do I measure my foot for boots?
A shopper on Apr 20, 2017
Best Answer: 1) Sit in a straight chair with your feet flat on the floor and knees at a 90 degree angle.

2) For boot width, have a helper use a cloth measuring tape to measure your calf around its widest point.

3) For boot height, have your helper measure from the floor to the back of your knee.

I'm looking for a comfortable tall boot to wear trail riding in the spring/summer/fall. I already have a good insulated winter boot for the lovely Illinois freeze. Are these meant for cooler temps or could they be worn year-round? Thanks!
