Are the sizes the same as the old model?
A shopper on Jul 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they seem the same, only a bit more difficult to put on with the stiffer gaitor. They seem to stay on better then the old style also. I just ordered another pair for my other horse.
Do these last with long, strenuous activities?
Callie C on May 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hello, yes they do well, if they are properly fitted. I've used them for trail riding and have some that are 5 years old and still going, I've replaced gators on one. The new shape for 2016, although Easycare states the sizing are the same as the older model gloves, and the measurements are the same at the foot bed where you are to measure your horse to get your size, the circumference at the top of the glove is more tapered which maybe for a horse creates a better fitting boot, for mules this is a problem on the new styles. So if your fitting a horse you maybe ok and have a better fit than the pre 2016 style. I've used gloves for horses and mules, mainly mules and have rode through boot sucking mud and rocky rough areas. These are the best boots with the best fit. The gators are great and easy to put on and pull off with no rubbing if properly fitted. If the boots don't fit, two things happen, a rub at the front center gator closure and the screw at the lower center at the back of the boot will pull out. Easycare will replace failures within a 30 days. So if your thinking about getting these boots do it when your going to be riding in harsh conditions right away, that way if something fails your covered and you will have great help if you call Easycare. They are knowledgeable, friendly and ready to help. So go ahead and give them a try, you can buy them here and still get great customer care by calling Easycare, they don't care where you buy them as long as they are bought new not used. I have a Paint gelding that is a size 2 and he is very flat footed but I do a barefoot trim with the mustang roll and these boots work better for him than Renigades. If your not sure about size call Easycare and get a fit kit. I hope this helps you, booting is great with a little effort up front it becomes a simple part of your tack up and gives great peace of mind when hauling to technical trails. Good luck and Happy Trails.
Are these type of boots good for regular riding, or just for temporary ?

Do you have the ability to get replacement parts for this boot as in washers and screws?

Is the price for 1 boot or a pair of boots?
Zoe V on Oct 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Sold individually.
Does this come as a single boot, or is this a set?
Megan A on Jan 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: These boots are sold individually...the advantage is if your horse has two different size hoofs, you can buy two different sizes. One of my horses had a club foot so it works out great!
Can you use on back feet?
Jane K on Jul 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: you certainly can! They're much better than all other types of boot because there are no buckles, etc to snag or beat on the front feet, only to become un- hinged and lost miles back on the trail😠! THE BEST ALL AROUND AT ANY GAIT/TERRAIN, and I know from experience.
If my horse wears a 1.5 in the easy boot glove would this be the same size?
Jody B on Sep 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't know. Each mfg has its own sizing table. If you have the 1.5 size in the easy boot glove AND they fit right on your horse, then I would look at the sizing chart of the easy boot glove for 1.5 and see what the width and length in mm are for 1.5. Then I would look at the boots you are interested in and find the size with the same width and length in mm. I would recommend also that you watch the videos that show how the boot that you are interested in is supposed to fit. After having bought this boot and watching the video, I found that the boots that I had bought did not fit properly as shown in the video. they have to fit snug and the horses' feet need to be trimmed regularly.
Can you use the boot on pastured horses? My gelding has bad feet and the boots would have to be left on for days at a time since he is on 24 hour turn-out. How often do you have to take them off ?
Pasofan on Aug 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can use boot on pastured horses. However, they need to fit right (snug), so you need to measure right for the right fit AND hoofs need to be trimmed to ensure that the boot continues to fit and doesn't get too small when the hoof grows out. In addition the Velcro seems to wear out after a while, especially if you take the boots off, which I generally do when I bring my horse in. I don't leave the boots on days at a time. You want to clean the inside on a regular basis, especially if it rains and the inside gets wet and muddy. And if you have a mare with a foal, like I do, then you may have the additional problem of the foal wanting to undo the Velcro, .which seems to wear out after the wear and tear of putting them on and taking them off. May be some duck tape around the Velcro would have helped. I would clean the inside of the boot at least every other day and make sure that the hoof doesn't need to be trimmed to fit properly.
Following my first question, about how long do they last with tough exercise?
Callie C on May 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I've actually purchased two "sets" of these: One version for my Percheron mare a few years before she passed and just recently for my Quarter Horse. The Percheron was very tough on her equipment, but these boots outlasted her and we've continued to use them on our Percheron gelding. We've only used the smaller ones on our QH for medicinal purposes when he had an abscess we were treating. Works great for that, too!
My mare's foot is 120 mm X 120 mm. This puts her on the border between a 1.5 and a 2. Should I order the larger size?
Paula E on Nov 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Based on measurements your mares hoof is more round. Equal length and width. Look at wide gloves made for this type hoof. Most likely .5 wide fits your measurements
My horse has rather wide pasterns. It was hard to fasten the gaiter velcro on the easyboot gloves that I bought 5 years ago. I see that the glove gaiter is a bit different now. Is there a remedy for fastening it around a wider pastern?
helena f on Oct 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Although they have added a little extra room to fasten the gaiter it may not fit horses with larger leg circumference. I have a fairly petite Morgan and it works well for her, but is a bigger stretch for my QH. The newer easy Boots also have a reinforced part around the heel which make them difficult to turn down when putting them on. Good and sturdy, though.

What size should I get of these?
DEBORAH A on Jun 18, 2016
How to measure for these boots?
Kim L on Jun 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The measurement is based of the length from the buttress line to the toe, then the widest part of the hood for the width.
why doesn't the 25% off apply to this product? Our local tack shop sells these cheaper than SLT
A shopper on Apr 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This item has a restriction for additional discounts, I'm sorry it is marked at lowest price.
I am on my second set set of easy boots. I go through a set ever 2 months. My horse wears a size 0. I can't find size 0 on your website. Would like to buy from StateLine Tack, but can't find the size I need. I know its not a discontinued size because I can find it another place. When will you stock size 0?
liz85207 on Feb 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We are not carrying this size 0 at this time for this specific style boot, the Item # SLT722863 EasyCare Easyboot Epic Hoof Boot is slightly different but does come in the size 0. If you have questions in regards to this boot I'm showing you just call into customer service 1-888-809-0751.
If oversold, can we order now to get the 20% off?
Ayron S on Aug 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This boot is not able to be backordered, but we are always running discounts, so it's very likely the price will be similar.
Are these available in other colors than black?
Elizabeth B on Jul 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: These boots are available in black only.
I have easy boot gloves in size 0 Your sizing chart lists it twice and different measurments for each. Is it supposed to be a 00?
Horsie Girl on Jun 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for pointing out the typo! The first two lines should be for sizes 00 and 00.5. We will get that corrected. Meanwhile, here is a link to the size chart directly from the Manufacturer:
