Have used them and they lasted a long time and do not rub my horse

Valerie B on Nov 12, 2018
These last much longer than the original ones. But they need more velcro just like the original ones do. Not sure why easy boots are so stingy on the velcro.
sheila j on Nov 5, 2018
Own a pair for another horse. Went on a rocky trail ride and the horse without boots (or shoes) ended up with a nasty abscess that took about 6 months to heal. Never again! These stay on well through a lot of mud, but you need to adjust the velcro as tight as possible.
SHERRY W on Oct 25, 2018
Easy to put on
Kate W on Oct 13, 2018
Borrowed an EasyCare Trail boot this morning because my horse threw a shoe and it was fantastic. Had to order them asap!
Debra B on Sep 7, 2018
I ordered two different brands of hoof boots to see which one I like better.
Kelly E on Sep 2, 2018
my horses feet are round, and I was told that this brand is more forgiving on sizing issues
CeeCee M on Aug 13, 2018
I have a pair of easy boot back country for my TB and they are great but did not offer a big enough size in the BC so I decided on these ones because they are very similar and have large sizes
Patricia C on Jul 29, 2018
I picked Easyboot trail as I read they were forgiving in measuring/size, easy to put on and they stay on. I just placed my order so have no idea if the above is actually true. I certainly hope so!
SARAPHINE M on Jul 7, 2018
looks like it might be a secure, comfortable boot for once again riding my extremely aged TB.
Janeen H on Jun 15, 2018
I have them for 2 other horses and they work great. Easy on and easy off.
colette c on May 28, 2018
We are undergoing the transition from years of shoes to going barefoot. We have made a lot of progress but he is still a little tender footed on rocky trails so I am getting these boots until his hoofs grow out more and develop better condition for barefooted'ness.
Alison T on Apr 15, 2018
I read the reviews I have co-riders who highly recommend these boots for ease of putting them on to staying on through mud and obstacles on the trail I have a pair 20 years old and they still work different horse now

We have used this Boot for several years with incredible reliability. We have trail rode in some of the most challenging terrain in the Allegheny Natl Forest and have experienced no issues. We use these boots on our horses before their spring shoeing and after their fall removal as well as carry them as emergency back up in our saddle bags.

I already have a pair of these boots and they are the best!!! I bought these ones because I am currently using the ones I have on my horse 24 hours and wanted a 2nd pair if the first pair get damaged. If the first pair become damaged I plan to send them in to be repaired and I will have another pair to use. These REALLY are the easiest boot to put on and take off, I had a pair of easy boot RX and they were a pain to get on and off.
Suzelle D on Jul 10, 2017
I used the previous model and I really like the upgrades EasyCare made to the New Trail. The back strap helps keep the boots from rotating and the padding on the front and back stop chafing and help keep gravel and sand out. They are the easiest boots to put on ever. I only ride once a week on trails and I expect to get 3 years out of these
Cheryl S on Jul 1, 2017

The is my second pair. My horse wore the first pair out after about 1 year of regular use then and one very rocky , muddy 20 mile trail ride. Plus, I know they fit him.

Deb T on Jun 18, 2016
I have older boots, thought these would be the same, they are not. Hard to put on with the strap in back and the opening does not hug the pastern too big.
Wendy S on Jun 2, 2016
I have used the easy boot epics for years. We pack in on a really rocky road with steep sections. I have epic buckles break on each trip. The new buckles are better, but I still break at least 1 on each trip for 2 horses.

M friend uses the trails on his horse. The have held up well. No buckles to break, and at 4 in the morning they install much quicker.
My horses love their boots!
I tried shoes one year and they were still tender on the rocks and i had to use my easyboots over the shoes!
Bryan T on Sep 28, 2015
My horse is barefoot but as I go camping with my horses some of the trails are rocky and my horse was tenderfooted so decided to get these so he could remain barefoot

Do you get one or 2 boots?
Jennifer D on Aug 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Boots are sold individually... so you have to buy 2 if you’re buying a pair! I thought they were good boots, that would actually stay on! Unfortunately the boots I ordered were too big. So never really used them. Couldn’t return them because I did use them, only to find they really didn’t fit! I’ve used several other brands of hoof boots... I was surprised they didn’t fit, according to measurements.
do you have size 0 wide?
A shopper on May 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: We offer this boot in sizes 2 through 10.
Are these sold in pairs or singlely?
Billie H on Nov 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Easy Care website states sold individually, and I recall that I did have to buy separately. I bought 2 since both front feet were sore.
Do these come in triple ooo?
Beth B on Oct 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It may be available directly through easy care, but we do not carry that size.
is it 82.50 a pair or is that 1 boot?
A shopper on Sep 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I believe it is for one. My horses has think soles and these help a lot. I use socks with them to prevent heel rubs. Hope this helps.
I am new to these boots. Would these work for a horse who has contracted heels? he is very tender on all ground it seems and i am wondering if boots like these will help keep him sound
Chelsea on May 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have a pony that has great feet and goes barefoot, but he hates walking on gravel. So I use these boots for him on trails and they work great. Super easy to put on and take off. I think they would be great for your horse to keep him comfortable. I I did find the opening is a little wider than the Old Macs he used to wear, but he is a pony with smaller patterns. Just be sure the Velcro is fastenly as tight as possible.
Good luck!
boots on the roads?
A shopper on May 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: these boots are good for street work and light trail duty, they are no where as good as the older version
How many come with it? Two or four?
taylor s on Nov 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They are sold individually.
Since it's the same brand, do these fit size wise like the Easy Boot Cloud?
LINDA D on Oct 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, the sizing is different for nearly all Easyboots. You can find sizing on the easycareinc website. In general it looks like the Easyboot cloud fits 2-3 sizes larger and has more room for error while the Easyboot trail is a little more precise in sizing and runs smaller.
will they stay on gaited horses while racking?
A shopper on Aug 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I think they would if they fit properly. They upper sections wrap securely, the velcro is good quality that really holds and the strap at the back adds an extra "lock". HOWEVER, if the horse has flared hooves, the size required to fit the bottom of the foot will be huge on the rest of the foot and difficult to make tight. I tried them on a rehab case and they twisted even at the walk. The Epics work better for this mare as the boot does not rise high on the hoof wall and can be ratcheted tightly with the cable mechanism, plus the gaiter also helps hold it on.
size- My horse measures 5 4/16 length 4 14/16 wide. It shows a 5 size. But he is trimmed very short now since we had a trail ride on a pea gravel road and wore his feet down. I ordered cavellos a couple years ago and the size measured was small and I had ordered a size up, thinking if it was to big, it would fit another horse. It was to small for either. I don't want to order the 5 and find out the 6 would have worked better. My horse is gaited and has large feet. I don't want boots so tight they restrict the foot. Boots can run small or large I understand from reviews on cavellos and easy boots. Can you tell me what boot size would be a better chance to fit? Thank you Janette
lakoda on Aug 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I actually ordered 1 size down in these boots and they ended up being way too big around the coronary band. My horses feet are large as well and unusually shaped being 6" wide and 5 3/4" long which did not help in sizing so flipped around when used. Will require . I would recommend not ordered up a size in these boots and seems others have had similar experiences. I would recommend ordering exact size right after trimming, but refund and exchange process is pretty simple if you have to, just keep them very clean when you first put them on.
My horses foot is 5 1/4 wide 6 1/4 long, long says size 10 width says size 6 , so what size would fit?
Allyn B on Aug 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I bought these boots because they are in fact very easy to put on and a bit forgiving between hoof trims. But , to stay on the hoof when trotting on hills, they have to fit snug. Before you wrap them around the hoof and securely Velcro them on, the hoof is going to have to fit inside, too small in the length is never gonna work. Think of your own feet when trying on a pair of cute shoes....too small is too small, no matter what the sale price, they don't fit. That said, I took a piece of cardboard and very carefully traced my horses hooves a day after she was trimmed. I also went to the EasyCare company's web page, they make many different styles, with different size charts, just to be sure. My mare first wore the Back Country Glove in a size O perfectly, barrowed from a friend, but I ended up buying the size 4 EasyBoot. Take a few minutes to check out their sizing web page .
how many boots come in set ?
David F on Aug 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There is no "set". Like it says on the Webpage, you buy the boots individually as hooves are different sizes. My horse wears 4's on the front and 3's on the back. I had to size down from what the blacksmith measured--he recommended 5's and the practically fell off his feet. I love these boots.
will bell boots fit with the easy boots on?

Classic Equine Dyno Limited Scroll Bell Boots
Classic Equine Dyno Limited Scroll Bell Boots
BEST ANSWER: Depending the bell boot and which easy boot.....but you may need to use a softer bell boot since the easy boot can be rather large and you need to maintain loose contact to allow for movement
When is it time to get new boots? We have had my 2 pair of Easyboot GLOVES for over 4 years on normal trail riding plus: streams, rocks, gravel and steep muddy hills and have one pair as a back up for his front hooves. These boots have only worn at the cloth part and my tack shop has sewn new edges. Do they wear out at the toe? I haven't noticed any changes or other wear.
Mary P on Jun 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't know. I don't use them anymore
I bought Easyboot Epics. They fit my draft cross much better. Maybe just look at them on a angle to see if they are wearing evenly
Is it 72$ for a set or for each boot sold separately?
Becca S on Sep 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Sold individually.
To clarify (I've never had to purchase any type of boot like this), do they come in pairs or is it a single boot?
M S on Sep 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They come as single boots. I love these boots, my horse stepped on a three inch nail and was severely lame for 7 months. This boot allowed my vet and I to treat the foot and keep it protected. My horse lived in the boot 24/7 and it held up. I will always have one of these boots on hand.
How do you know what size to get for front hooves ?
Ralph D on Aug 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You measure the hoof from front to back and side to side and then use the size chart. These are sized differently than other Easy Boots so it's important to measure carefully.
What size of the easyboot trail would be recommended width 5 inches length 4-1/2?
Barbara B on Jul 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi Barbara,
If you measured right after a trim I would tend to go with a 5. It's a little big but it will give room for growth. I ordered mine a little bigger and so far so good. I didn't use the measuring kit, I traced his hoof on a flat surface then measured the outline. This is my first set if boots so I am definitely not an expert, I just thought I'd be helpful. Thank you.
Can my horse just wear two boots on the front hooves?
J R on Jun 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't know why he couldn't if that's all you shoe with a regular horse shoe.
I just use all four boots.
Just make sure you measure correctly, because I already had to switch boots to another horse because mine got sucked off in the mud on my small mare... otherwise we love them!
Very easy to put on
can these boots be put over shoes?
Judy A on May 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi Judy, in my opinion, the quick answer is yes you can put the boots over nailed-on metal shoes for intermittent situations.
Easycare boots the boots are designed for the bare-foot horse. The bare hoof will sit lower in the easycare boot versus the metal-shoe hoof. Larger boot size may be necessary.
In my opinion, putting an easycare boot over a metal-shoe hoof can be an option.
how do I measure for size of boot to order?
A shopper on May 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Here is a link to the sizing chart from the product description to help you decide:
The easiest way to take the measurement might be to stand your horse on heavy paper or non-corrugated cardboard, and trace around the hoof. That way you outline the entire weight bearing surface.
What's the best boot for Arab horses with longer toes?
A shopper on Mar 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: i bought these boots for mt Arab, because they were the boot which fit his hoof size. However I have not tried them on him as of yet. I did measure his feet mant times throughout the last year to determine his correct size.
do these fit the same way as the old trail easy boots? i am borrowing an old one and it fits my horse perfectly.
b r on Mar 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, but even better! There is a new neoprene heel piece that helps get the shoe on and keeps it from rubbing. My horse is very comfortable in them & has to wear 2 front boots while a cracked hoof grows out.
Will the boot stand up for working cow horse ? I day work occasionally but not enough to justify keeping him shawed.
A shopper on Mar 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: If you get the right fit and the boot stays on it should work for you. The trick is getting one that stays put and doesn't rotate around while your horse is so active with his feet. Mine stay in the right position on light trail riding but if you get lots of rocks and climbing on a trail they rotate around the hoof and will fall off or rub the coronet or heels in tender places.
I had to order 2 fit kits (on paper, my horse was a 1...in reality, she's a 00.5. GET THE FIT KIT) and my horse needs a 00.5. I've seen these boots in 00.5, but the measurements available don't even seem realistic! I'm confused...can someone help?
Carmen C on Feb 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I called the Easy boot company, the woman that answered the phone was very helpful. I gave her the measurements of my mare's hooves right after being trimmed. She told me to order a size 4, my mare has small hooves, if I remember correctly, they measured 4.5 wide & 5.5 inches long. The boots do not fit extremely tight, are a little loose as they need to fit as the hoof grows. I had one come off twice, but that same hoof had both side walls broken off at the time. I still like the boots, as my mare can go on any type of surface.
I am looking for a boo that I can put studs in to protect them from so much wear on the road. Is this possible?
A shopper on Nov 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I am not sure about putting studs in them. Mine are working good, they have not come off, are very easy to put on & off. My last ride was on various types of surfaces, a mixture of gravel, small rocks, large sand type rocks. None of these surfaces caused any problem for my mare. Plus I do not see any wear yet, and they can be left on for 22 hours at a time, helps it a horse is sore or tender footed. They do make a little noise as the horse walks. I highly recommend them. Don R
I need these in a size 12 but your drop down option doesn't offer size 12?
suzanne s on Nov 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Please re-confirm the size you need on the size chart. You may need to choose another brand. But these boots are really great!
How is this boot different from the New Mac (the silver ones)? They look the same.
A shopper on Sep 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: New Trail: The Easyboot Trail is easy to apply and remove. The attachment system assures booted success throughout the trim cycle. The boot opens up completely to easily slip on and off over most hoof shapes and sizes. The rear double Velcro® attachment protects the entire hoof wall and keeps the boot firmly in place. Do they work on the front and back?
A shopper on Sep 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes. They are designed so all boots fit whatever hoof you put them on. No right or left like some boots. Of course, you may need a different size for the back and front. Great new design....very happy with them.
