I have had old mc boots for my horses before. This is the first time I buy the new version.

I am hoping these boots will help my horse during turnout. He keeps pulling his shoe off. I'm hoping with these boots, he won't anymore.

I have an old (10+ years) pair of Old Mac Boots that I (my horse) is still using. They have held up incredibly well, are easy to put on and take off, and allow my horse to move freely. I am hoping/assuming that the "New Mac Boots" will be every bit as good.

Our farrier is suggesting that our mare wear boots 24/7. Will Old Macs hold up?.. for how long?
jkg56 on Oct 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't believe they are designed to wear 24/7.
Contact Easy Care, who makes them, they may have a good suggestion.
Will these boots.work on the hind feet ?
A shopper on Sep 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I use them on all four of my Quarabs hooves. I really like them, just wish you could order them individually since her back feet are two different sizes. I had to order for the larger back hoof and add a gaiter to keep it from being too big/loose. I've used these in sand, mud, dry grass and blacktop without losing one. They go on easily because they open wide, but be careful--they are r/l specific and easy to get backwards, which will cause rubbing.
I have a new pair of New Max horse boots. My horse tore of the back strap and hinge that it was attached to. Where can I get a replacement hinge please. I don't want to buy a new pair of boots for a hinge ??? Thank you, Helen Majchrowski

Can these boots be used on a shod horse for rocky trails on sensitive feet?
Nancy R on May 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: My horse is shod on his front feet due to damage from white line disease - he wears these boots for turnout and trail riding (mostly walking though). We don't have rocky trails where I ride, but the bottom of the boot has a good tread on it. My horse wore them all winter and we didn't have any problems slipping on ice and snow. They are a bit clunky though so I wouldn't do a lot of cantering in them (although my guy canters in his pasture while wearing them). I don't use them when arena riding where the ground is softer.
How well would this boot work for driving? Have you had any input from driving, I am concerned about traction while pulling a wagon up and down hills.
Matthew S on Jan 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We use is out on trail at walk/trot/canter and through varied terrain. My horse only lost a boot once in muddy conditions. I would not recommend using them in snowy conditions, but on sand, dirt, pavement they should be great going up and down hills.
i need size 12, do you stock that size new mac?
A shopper on Apr 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: In the New MAc we have sizes 0 through 6 available.
Does the sizing correspond to the original Old Mac's?
A shopper on Apr 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I haven't tried the old Mac so I don't know how the sizing corresponds to the new Mac.
