I needed it.

I thought this item would help me ground drive without having to handle a forty pound harness, but it was not big enough to fit my horses

can you use a normal English girth with this product?
KaylaT1888 on Apr 27, 2014
Best Answer: I am able to use any girth with this surcingle. I put a fleece cover on the one that came with it to better protect my horses.

is this surcingle able to be used with a dressage girth?
Sara J on Dec 29, 2015
Best Answer: Just checked this morning and the billets will work with a dressage girth. It comes with a 32 inch single web nylon girth. It fits my 16.2 H Off the track TB. Great value for the money.

I need something for my horse head placement. Is this a good thing to use?
A shopper on Jan 18, 2017
Best Answer: a head set is not a good thing. So doing side rains or something like that is not the best thing to do. Side rains if ever used should be on the loose side, but should only be done by someone who is experienced with them. even then they are not a perferd way of teaching a horse to go round. You want to teach your horse to stretch. first teach them to put there nose to the ground. Relax relax relax .. then you start to collect them you always want the horse reaching for the bit , not curling there neck head.. Start by asking them to reach and reward when you get the correct response. Read about long aND low and how to apply leg to create forward movment. Lots of softing right and left have to get them flexible through the rib cage. This item is good for long lining and such.

How can I wash this?
Alyssa C on Mar 31, 2016
Best Answer: I haven't tried, as I always use it on top of a pad, but I imagine it could be hand washed.
