Product Summary:

Bimeda® Exodus® Paste 23.6g Single Dose Pyrantel Pamoate Wormer

Exodus® Paste contains pyrantel pamoate for safe, effective worm removal and control. It offers broad-spectrum activity against a wide range of parasites, including large strongyles (Strongylus vulgaris, S. edentates, S. equines), small strongyles, pinworms (Oxyuris equi), and large roundworms (Parascaris equorum) in horses and ponies of all ages. Each syringe is calibrated for accurate dosage, and the paste itself is apple-flavored for exceptional palatability.

Features:

  • Treats large strongyles, small strongyles, pinworms, and large roundworms
  • Safe for horses and ponies
  • Contains 43.9% Pyrantel Pamoate
  • Apple-flavored
  • Calibrated syringe for accurate dosage
Item Specifications:

Dosage:
Administer as a single, oral dose of 3mg pyrantel base per lb. of body weight. The syringe has four weight mark increments. Each weight mark indicates the recommended dose for 300 lb. of body weight.
Up to 300 lb.: ¼ syringe - 900mg pyrantel base
301-600 lb.: ½ syringe - 1,800mg pyrantel base
601-900 lb.: ¾ syringe - 2,700mg pyrantel base
901-1200 lb.: 1 full syringe - 3,600mg pyrantel base
Position ring-gauge over appropriate mark on plunger. For maximum control of parasitism, it is recommended that foals (2 - 8 months of age) be dosed every 4 weeks. To minimize the potential source of infection that the mare may pose to the foal, the mare should be treated 1 month prior to anticipated foaling date followed by re-treatment 10 days to 2 weeks after birth of foal. Horses and ponies over 8 months of age should be routinely dosed every 6 weeks. It is recommended that severely debilitated animals not be treated with this preparation.

Warnings:
Not for use in horses intended for food. Keep this and all medications out of reach of children. For oral use only. For animal use only.

Caution:
Consult a veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment and control of parasitism. Store in controlled room temperature (59 - 86ºF). Expiration on box and syringe.

Composition:
Pyrantel pamoate is a compound belonging to a family classified chemically as tetrahydropyrimidines. It is a yellow, water-insoluble crystalline salt of the tetrahydropyrimidine base and pamoic acid containing 34.7% base activity.

What's the difference between this wormer, and a normal Ivermectin wormer? Do they work the same?
A shopper on Oct 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Exodus contains 43.9% Pyrantel Pamoate. Ivermectin wormers contain 1.87% ivermectin. They are two different wormers.
