Hope this one holds up better then the last one. My horse apparently kicked it and I found it in 100's of pieced all over his stall.

Less expensive than other heated buckets I purchased. Hope these work as well and last as long.

Because it was on sale and I need it for a stalled horse. We will see just how long it last.
Jackie L on Jan 11, 2019
Replacing winter stall buckets with these. My horses never drank from the heavy black rubber heated buckets that continue to have a rubber odor after 2 years. I already have one of these brand buckets & it has worked great & the horses drink from it like any other bucket.

Chose because the water stays at or close to 60 degrees --helpful when you have old horses that tend not to drink as much in the winter, And the cord will store away when not using the heating feature .
Katie S on Nov 23, 2018
back ups for older buckets
Sue H on Nov 23, 2018
It's designed to heat water to 60 degrees, the same temperature as quoted in numerous veterinary journals as the temperature comfortable enough for horses to drink as much as they need to stay hydrated. They simply will drink only a bare minimum of slightly over freezing cold water, resulting in digestive and other problems.

Last year did it.While we don't typically have extended days of below freezing we had weeks of it last year. No more hauling buckets back and forth to the kitchen sink!

I have used the blue heated buckets for several years, but have to replace them every other year. Don't find out they're bad until one of the horses stops drinking because they are getting shocked. These are on sale so thought I would give them a try.
Diane R on Sep 27, 2018
Last year was brutal with no heated buckets and this was a great deal! I'm planning on buying more soon.
Patricia M on Aug 31, 2018
I bought one last winter and it was a life saver! My barn budget is tight, but I intend to add another heated bucket each year until I have several. It was great to have one bucket that didn't freeze solid, now I will have two.
Wanda M on Aug 29, 2018
Had 2 already. Bought another this year for our new yearling. He played with the cord too much (no damage, but constantly emptied the bucket). So I drilled a hole to run the cord out right at the bottom of the pail. Works great now. All horses are drinking.

This for sure is one of the BEST HEATED BUCKETS on the market, especially priced less than others. This bucket when you put your hand in you actually can feel the warmth of the water. Seems to me the other buckets just keep the water from freezing. I know for one of my old mini donkeys, that has sensitive teeth, the warm water bucket is a blessing. Thanks Farm Innovators for making a great product!
Glenda M on Jul 15, 2016
No more frozen water problems. Good, safe, sturdy product.

Can these sit on the ground or do they have to be hung?
A shopper on Jan 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: They can sit on the ground. The cord comes out the bottom so you don't want them to get kicked around. What I do is set them on the ground next to a fence. Then I swing the handle up and use a snap hook to attach it to the fence. It is not hanging on the fence...but it also keeps it from getting tipped over.
What size extension cord?
A shopper on Nov 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I think it draws 120 watts, so at least a 14 gauge extension cord. If you have to go with a longer cord, go with a heavier 12 gauge. You don’t want too small a wire (no smaller than 14 gauge), because of a fire hazard.
We have an old horse that gets beet pulp with every meal. I have these buckets for water in every stall and they are terrific but would it work for grain and beet pulp so that it doesn't freeze to a solid rock?
Donna C on Nov 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I use these buckets only for water. They are thermostatically controlled and the water never freezes. I don't think a beet pulp mash would freeze.
Where is heater located in bucket?
A shopper on Nov 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It’s in the bottom. Clever design- the bottom contains the cord, jus5 pop the bottom off to get the cord out. When no longer needed as a heated bucket, coil it back in and use it like a regular bucket
I have ducks & was wondering if this bucket would be good for their water during the winter?
A shopper on Oct 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It’s an awesome bucket for winter. I use it for my smaller donkeys and even our horses love it haha Water is never frosty or frozen - always free flowing.
Does this have a shut off feature? if the bucket is drained or gets knocked down? thanks!
Deanna H on Oct 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Items features, 24-quart capacity bucket is thermostatically controlled to operate only when necessary (on at 35°F, off at 60°F). The heater is completely hidden within the walls of the bucket, which also features a unique "hide-away" cord compartment that conceals the cord for year-round use.
How long does it take to come to max temp ?
A shopper on Jan 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Rarely have I allowed frozen water to thaw after plugging in the bucket. Spouse believes it would thaw in 24 hrs at very low temps. I have used these buckets for many years. They have worked well in conditions from low teens to into minus zero. What I like is you can store the cord. I use them for my dogs when I’m at work. They have served me quite well over the years. I would always buy more. Take care to keep cord safely away from being chewed. I have a few Power chewers that have destroyed a cord. The cord is wrapped in steel wire, but I experienced this twice. User error, and I barricaded the cord better. Excellent bucket!
Can they be used outside?
Ginger P on Dec 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have been using mine outside with no problems. Currently, I think the temperature outside is around 19 degrees F,
Will this bucket warm water with which I can give shower to my baby? I mean will the water b warm enough for giving bath to a baby?
A shopper on Jan 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I would NOT use this bucket to bathe a baby in. The water does not actually get warm - it does NOT feel warm to the touch. It will keep the water from freezing outside and warm it to a comfortable temperature for a horse to drink out of, but that's all! You would be very cold if you had to take a bath in it!
How many gallons does this hold?
A shopper on Jan 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't know the exact capability, but I can tell you that I HATE this bucket! It does seem to be able to hold more than my other heated 5 gallon buckets, but the design is NOT user-friendly nor is it horse-friendly. It is deeper but also narrower than my other buckets. The narrowness is not welcoming to my horses, so they seem to avoid drinkiing from it. The bucket handle is also narrow and thin which makes carrying it difficult and awkward, especially when attempting to dump a full bucket of water that the horses refused to drink. Also the cord is much shorter than my other heated buckets. Since I am not comfortable using extension cords in my barn, there is only one stall which will accommodate this bucket. As soon as I find a replacement, this bucket be gone!
How many gallons does this bucket hold. I have 2 but need another just want to make sure its the same?
Bill H on Dec 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I believe it holds 5 gallons. I know I can't carry it when it's full!
how many watts?
A shopper on Nov 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The bucket I bought is model FB-120 & is 120 watts / 1.0 amp. It is energy efficient & only locks on when needed - it is great! I highly recommend it.
How many of these buckets can I plug into use with a 15 amp breaker? I am wiring outlets at each stall ( I have 5 stalls) and wasn't sure if I needed to split them into two different circuits?
Jessie on Oct 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Nice thing about these buckets is they're low draw on electricity but I don't know what our barn is wired with. Each stall has its own plug but if too many are plugged in + electric fence, it trips breakers. I'd do whatever is safest.
How much water does this bucket hold?
Nancy S on Oct 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Size: Oversized 6 gallons / 24 quarts
What happens if the horse drinks all the water? Does it shut off automatically or does the barn catch on fire? I feel nervous about the safety of these things.
jmk55 on Apr 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It does not shutoff automatically. However, it also doesn't get that hot; mine have gone empty plenty of times with no problems.
does the water remain unfrozen at -30 degrees?
A shopper on Dec 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I love my buckets!! I think these are better then the blue ones since the cord can be stored under it in the summer so the bucket can be used all season. I had my horses in uninsulated barn one winter and it for sure was at least -25 ( my face froze pretty quick) and the water stayed nice and warm. The thermostat function works so when it's around 40 degrees Fahrenheit in the barn the water doesn't feel warm but once the temps drop the water is nice and my horses love drinking it. Great product would hate winter without them .
Can poultry nipples be attached to the bottom without interfering with the heating element??
Mary V on Sep 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I believe the heating element is in the whole bottom of the bucket. It is not exposed at all. I would imagine puncturing the bottom of the bucket (two layers- inside of the bucket, heating element and then bottom plastic) would interfere with the element and possibly be a fire hazard. I would not attempt manipulating this bucket but it does work excellently as a horse water bucket! Good luck!
does this come in blue?
A shopper on Jan 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately this item is no longer available at this time.
Does this bucket come in other colors?
A shopper on Dec 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I don't think so, I have never seen in anything but green
How long is the cord?
Diane M on Jan 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It is about 5ft. long, this is one of the best heated buckets I have ever used, and I've been using them for 16yrs. It actually holds up really well to abuse!! I have 8 of them in use now.
if you forget to plug in a full bucket of water and it freezes it ok to just plug it in the next day to thaw out the frozen water?
shelly c on Jan 22, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I did have a situation where the bucket was unplugged unbeknownst to me. Since it wasn't frozen solid, I broke the ice, emptied the bucket and refilled with water. I didn't want my animals to have to wait for the bucket to thaw the ice since I had no idea how long that would take. Hope this helps.
The cord is so short, how do you plug them in without using an extension cord?
Glenna V on Dec 8, 2013

I have outlets outside of each stall in the isle way and cut a hole through the stall wall. Then I feed the cord through that into the outlet, they work great. My wish is that the cords were detachable so I could clean the buckets out more easily, but it sure beats frozen buckets.

When I built my barn I had the length of the cord in mind and arranged the outlets to be directly behind where I was going to hang the bucket in the stall.
